The “Spridisi” caféThe café is situated in a comfortable cellar of a museum commemorating the life of the Latvian author Anna Brigadere. Here you will find a variety of foods and drinks that can satisfy any taste. In the summer, in the yard filled with sunshine, you will be able to relax on the outdoor terrace, listening to the waterflow of the Tervete river, whereas in winter, having enjoyed the snow drifted landscapes, warm up in the cellar, drinking tasty tea. The café organises parties with the good witches of the Tērvete forest, as well as rides in horse-drawn carts or sleds. Latvian cuisine: Pork ribs in honey sauce, pancakes with jam, mushroom sauce. Pampukas caféThis summer terrace café is on the beach of the Preiļi park, and it offers 100% natural ice cream with berries, as well as fresh pancakes. The café is only open from Mother’s Day (May 8) until Father’s Day (September 11). Tourist groups are offered tours and tastings of cheese-based ice cream. |

Castle restaurant ALATSKIVIThe main building of the grand manor Alatskivi has a restaurant serving local specialities. The rich history of the manor house connects Estonian peasant culture, Baltic-German culture and Scottish culture depicted in the manor's architecture. The restaurant menu combines these three values. Favourites of the guests are Peipus pike perch and pork chop, but many guests also love the surprising Scottish dessert and local onion jam. |

Igate castle Mill cafeThe saloon is at the edge of the Murjāņi-Limbaži road (P9) and alongside the Igate Castle. It is built on the foundations of a former windmill, and the wheel of the mill has been preserved. The old watermill is still hard at work and is used to mill grain for traditional porridge and buns. The saloon works with local farmers. Latvian cuisine: Mushroom soup, barley porridge with meat, barley buns, grit sausage with lingonberry sauce, crepes with jam, potato pancakes, fried plaice or pike, stacked rye bread.
