On the west coast of the Gulf of Riga, in the Lapmezciems municipality, there is a family-owned company "Reinis-B" specializing in the production of hot smoked fish products. Reinis-B specializes in the production of smoked fish products, using only natural alder wood during the smoking process. Offering both local and overseas fish, prepared after a variety of smoked recipes and traditions. You can buy Reinis-B products in several places in Latvia: Ragaciema Fish Market, various fairs and exhibitions. In cooperation with the market of Mara, depending on the date, products can be bought in Salaspils, Bauska, Dobele, Jelgava, Kauguri and Riga's "Rimi" squares. Reinis-B organizes tastings for tourists (not less than 10 people) on Thursdays, which allows you to witness the whole production process with your own eyes and taste all the products of the company. A collection of peonies in the garden in Ķesterciems which is just 300 metres from the sea. The collection has been put together over the course of many years, with some that were first grafted in the 18th century and others that are completely new varieties. Each year the range is supplemented, with a bit more than 800 different kinds right now. Peony blossoms are at their peak attractiveness around mid-June. |

“Kurzemnieku pirts” (Courlandian Sauna) is found in the Priekule parish and offers individual sauna rituals led by a certified sauna master. The restaurant at the 77th kilometre of the Rīga-Daugavpils highway, on the banks of the Daugava River with a lovely view of the river valley from a summer terrace. This is a popular dining venue with a modern and attractive interior made of wood, stone and red bricks. It offers musical evenings with musicians from various genres. A shop is alongside the restaurant. In 2015 owners of ''Zeltlejas'' started to develop the first sea buckthorn plantations, but in 2018 the area where the sea buckthorn is grown for berry extraction was 24 hectares. Only one breed of sea buckthorn trees with high oil and carotenoid content is grown in the garden. But strawberries are grown in the greenhouses, that's why they are ripen already in the spring. Various events on different topics like healthy eating, cooking, gardening are also organized. |

The wooden building was erected in the late 19th century and features a museum which demonstrates the way in which people lived more than 100 years ago. Exhibits include household objects, the Rucava folk costume, socks and decorated mittens. Various events involving discussions, singing, games, dancing and weaving are organised, as are cultural and educational programmes such as “Evening Activities” and “A Rucava Banquet” with local foods from lower Kurzeme. “Pincikājas” offers a sauna and a place for leisure in a lovely place on the banks of Lake Sudals. A certified masseur and sauna master is on hand to organise sauna-related rituals. The Jaunpils Crafts House opened on May 10, 2015, and it is home to a group of weavers from Jaunpils that was established in 1970, as well as the “Dzīpars” organisation. The group is led by a master weaver, Velga Pavlovska, who is happy to share her knowledge with the 18 women who are part of the group. She organises the work of women who do handicrafts, and she also conducts tours and creative workshops. Visitors can learn about the work of weavers and other master handicraft specialists, take part in educational master classes, go on tours and purchase various souvenirs. |

About 20 minutes by car from Sigulda, this is a venue that offers you a chance to go fishing in a pond that covers 3 ha and offers every opportunity for relaxation. You can rent a boat, and during the winter you can go ice fishing. Next to the pond is a two-story house with a kitchen and an opportunity to spend the night as long as you bring your own mattress. There are three rooms on the lower and three on the higher floor of the building. Next to the house is a lean-to, and there is a pergola not far from the pond. The house is on the banks of the Pilda River. It is a biological farm with fruits, berries, vegetables and honey prepared and served in honour of Lettigalian traditions. "Aizupmajas" offers a traditional Lettigalian black sauna with linden or oak branch switches and herbal teas. You can also take part in farm work or spend the night in the restored granary. Kaltene is home to a memorial house that has been set up in honour of Andris Kārkliņš, who was known as the first internationally recognised flamenco guitarist of Latvian origin. Known as Andres El Leton, he was a composer, poet, writer and photographer. Visitors will learn all about the artist’s life and work via audio and video recordings. Up on the second floor of the building is a small creative workshop (SIA “Rakstu Raksti,” where people produce applied arts items such as folk costumes, linen products, accessories, souvenirs, etc. They sew apparel and home textiles from linen and other natural materials. The workshop has floristics specialists, and it accepts orders on sewn, knit and crocheted products. Master classes are also available. Visitors will enjoy local produced foodstuffs from the Roja Administrative District (fish, wine, cheese, conserves, jams, teas, etc.). Handicrafts and souvenirs are available for purchase. |

The saloon is in the restored mansion of the Sieksāte (Berghof) Estate, and there is a milk museum in the granary and the cheese-making building. Guests can try their hand at milking cows and at churning and tasting fresh butter. Latvian cuisine: Rye bread, herring with cottage cheese, milk soup, boiled potatoes a la countryside with chives, sliced venison, pike-perch in cream, plaice with peas, potato pancakes with lingonberry jam. The owners of the farm inherited it. There is a wood house with decorative trim and window shutters. The owners use milk from their own cows to produce cheeses on the basis of old and modern recipes.
