The small Andrupene swamp is found to the North of the Andrupene Farm Museum in a deep area between hillocks.  It is a high-type swamp with an open central part, and it is 130 m long and 120 m wide.  There are stands of white alder alongside the swamp.  In 2009, the administrators of the Rāzna National Park restored a wooden educational pathway that had been established originally by the Andrupene Elementary School.  Today there are stairs, a viewing platform, wooden pathways, and information stands.

Die Meister erzählen den interessierten Gruppen über die Geschichte des Orgelbaus, die Prinzipien, einen Wirkmechanismus der Musikinstrumente. Die Werkstatt wurde 2004 in einem ehemaligen Stall des Pastorats eingerichtet. Der Besitzer und Leiter der Werkstatt ist Jānis Kalniņš.

The farm produces large amounts of nectar plants, including mustard plants, clover, lacy phacelia and buckwheat. These are used for apiaries and seeds. You can take a tour and learn about the lives of bees. You can also taste and purchase honey made from willow, buckwheat, heather and other sources. The honeys have won a series of prizes.

The workshop and “Dream Hut” exhibition hall at this venue offer a look at turned wood products such as candelabras, dishware, beer steins, vases, glasses, mortars and pestles, small boxes, wooden paintings, etc. You can commission and purchase products and watch the master at work.

Von Vilnius führt die Tour zu der malerischen Burg von Trakai, die von einem See eingeschlossen ist, und weiter zu dem Nationalpark Dzūkija, der mit traditionellem litauischen Lebensstil, Bedeutung der Wälder, sowie mit wertvollen Naturressourcen bekanntmacht. In Marcinkonys befindet sich ein Informationszentrum und ein Zentrum für Ethno-Kultur, aber das Moor Čepkelių raistas bietet eine weite Moorlandschaft. Es ist angenehm, auf ruhigen Waldpfaden und stillen Straßen mit dem Rad zu fahren. Druskininkai ist ein historischer Kurort mit einer reizvollen Altstadt, vielen Spa-Hotels, Spazierpfaden und Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Im Park Grūto sind Denkmäler aus der Sowjetzeit ausgestellt, um die damalige unterdrückende Ideologie zu zeigen. Von hier führt die Tour zu der lebendigen Stadt Kaunas, die sich zwischen den zwei Flüssen Nemunas und Neris befindet.
Weiter führt die Tour entlang dem malerischen Ufer des Flusses Nemunas. Unterwegs kann man kleine freundschaftliche Dörfer besuchen und durch den Regionalpark des Deltas von Nemunas fahren. Die ersten baltischen Stämme sind in Litauen entlang den Ufern des Flusses Nemunas gekommen. Sie haben ein reiches Kulturerbe und malerische Burgberge hinterlassen.
Die Tour endet in der Hafenstadt Klaipeda, die das litauische Tor zu Europa, sowie zu der Kurischen Nehrung ist.

This is the home of singer and oral tradition keeper Lidija Jansone, who is a holder of the Latvian Order of Tree Stars and a fierce defender of the cultural heritage of the Suiti people.  She will tell you about her community’s history and traditions and about the special bourdon singing of the Suiti.  Lidija will also talk about how beer was once brewed by our ancestors for various celebrations.

Palūšē atrodas nacionālā parka administrācija (izveidota neliela ekspozīcija) un tūrisma informācijas centrs, kempings, nesen atjaunotā laivu bāze un viens no biežāk apmeklētajiem parka objektiem – Palūšes baznīca (Palūšės bažnyčia), kas celta 1757. gadā. 2008. g. No dievnama apkārtnes paveras jauks skats uz Lūšu (Lūšiai) ezeru, īpaši saulrietos, kad baznīca iegūst teiksmainu nokrāsu. Blakus baznīcas žogam aug vecais Palūšes ozols. Uzskata, ka tā vecums varētu būt ~ 350 – 400 gadi.

In the workshop it is possible to learn about the process of creating and the usage of pottery of different historic periods, as well as other household goods. Archaeological pottery is presented. The Middle Ages man-carried clay bread oven, frying-pan, drinking cups, the pilgrims’ water bowls. All the works are handmade in the moulded ceramics style and burned in the clay kiln.

The trail tells about grey dunes which have survived thanks to the border restrictions and the presence of military. The trail starts from the parking place at the mouth of the Užava river. It is one of the few natural rivermouths in Europe. One can also see the „tacis”, an industrial installation for lamprey (Lampetra fluviatilis) fishing during their spawning migration period. The 3km long trail is circular. It winds for 1.5km from the Užava rivermouth to the North, along the coastline (the beach is covered with sand and pebbles), and returns to the starting point by a gravel road through grey dunes. Along the trail, one can observe a distinct white dune with rare plant species Linaria loeselii, Lathyrus maritimus, Anthyllis arenaria, Tragopogon heterospermus. About 1km from the rivermouth, in the sea, one can see a wrack of a sailing ship (parts of frame). The visibility depends on the flow of sand in the sea. The way back opens a beautiful view of the range of grey dunes. Unfortunately, Scots Pine starts taking over the area. There are three important biotopes of EU significance: „Fixed dunes with herbaceous vegetation 2130”, „Decalcified fixed dunes with Empetrum nigrum 2140” and „Dunes with Salix arenaria 2170”, forming a unique mosaic. Typical species here: mountain Alison ‘(Alyssum gmelinii), Pasqueflower (Pulsatilla pratensis), Sand Pink (Dianthus arenarius), Rosemary Leaved Willow (Salix rosmarinifolia), Dark Red Helleborine (Epipactis atrorubens), Kinnikinnick (Arctostaphylus uva-ursi).

As a former military site, some military constructions can be seen here like horseshoe-shaped sand ramparts by the road in gray dunes. They were built to disguise military vehicles in case of sea attack. By the Kangroti graveyard, towards the Užava river, there is an underground pillbox. It is a one-man fortification to fire along the coastal perimeter.
