	Kesterciema Peonijas	A collection of peonies in the garden in Ķesterciems which is just 300 metres from the sea. The collection has been put together over the course of many years, with some that were first grafted in the 18th century and others that are completely new varieties. Each year the range is supplemented, with a bit more than 800 different kinds right now. Peony blossoms are at their peak attractiveness around mid-June.

	House of traditions "Zvanitaji" in Rucava	The wooden building was erected in the late 19th century and features a museum which demonstrates the way in which people lived more than 100 years ago. Exhibits include household objects, the Rucava folk costume, socks and decorated mittens. Various events involving discussions, singing, games, dancing and weaving are organised, as are cultural and educational programmes such as “Evening Activities” and “A Rucava Banquet” with local foods from lower Kurzeme. Latvian cuisine: Buns, sourdough porridge, homemade bread, honey, herbal teas.
	Pincikajas	“Pincikājas” offers a sauna and a place for leisure in a lovely place on the banks of Lake Sudals. A certified masseur and sauna master is on hand to organise sauna-related rituals. You will relax in the jacuzzi that is outside the sauna, or go swimming in the lake. Enjoy a period of leisure or take part in sports, camping or parties for your team at work. There are accommodations for up to 11 people on the mansard floor of the main building. Boats and SUP boards are available to rent. There is space for tenting and room for parties with up to 30 participants. There is a place for swimming, as well as a playground for children.
	Turkalne Manor Brewery and Cidery	Turkalne Manor Brewery and Cidery is a place where history meets modern technology. Our Story The history of the manor dates back to 1604. In 2018, its current owner restored the manor's barn and set up a brewery, winery, and cidery within it. Apples In the Turkalne Manor orchard, covering 1 hectare, the apple varieties 'Sīpoliņš', 'Auksis', 'Antonovka', 'Remo', 'Spartan' are grown. Ciders At Turkalne Manor, they make apple cider, apple-rhubarb cider, and mulled cider. For Visitors Guests are offered tastings in the historic barn building. The second floor of the barn features a large space for events such as weddings, family celebrations, seminars, and training sessions. Catering can be arranged in advance. Accommodation and event hosting venues are available 1 km away at the Turbas leisure complex. A tour of the Turkalne Manor grounds with a story about the manor’s history and restoration is also offered. 	Abava Winery	Abavas Winery, located near Tukums, invites you to taste Latvian fruit and berry wines, ciders, a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, as well as spirits. History The inspiration to establish the winery came to the owners during their honeymoon trip, when they visited some of Europe’s oldest wineries. Over the years, it has grown into the largest and most renowned winery in Latvia. Grapes Near Sabile, the winery cultivates a 4-hectare vineyard – the largest commercial vineyard in Latvia and one of the northernmost in the world. The harvested grapes are used to produce award-winning wines. Apples At the 4-hectare apple orchard next to the winery in Tukums grow apple trees that were planted during Soviet times and represent the industrial varieties of that period. Meanwhile, a certified organic apple orchard has been established near Sabile. From the harvest, excellent and award-winning alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are crafted. For Visitors The owners warmly invite guests to visit the winery, learn its story, and enjoy a tasting of various drinks. For groups, snack platters can be pre-ordered. The winery also offers spaces for events – seminars, parties, and corporate gatherings. 	The “Zemnieka cienasts” café	The café is on the Jelgava ring road between Lielupe and Vircava, offering meat and dairy products from Zemgale, as well as locally grown vegetables. The café has a partnership with the “Rudiņi” deer garden. Latvian cuisine: Bacon-wrapped medallions of pork with onion marmalade, wild board ham with onions and sweet cream, sautéed venison with potato and cauliflower mash, potato pancakes and salmon with sweet cream. Special foods: Apple baked in pastry, berry sheet cake.
	The Berghof dairy estate	The granary and cheese-making facility of the former Sieksāte (Berghof) Estate now house a museum (since 1985) which tracks the route of milk from the cow to the finished product. You can try your hand at milking cows and churning butter, and then you can taste what you have created. There is also a garden of fallow deer.
	The “Klidzina” restaurant	The restaurant at the 77th kilometre of the Rīga-Daugavpils highway, on the banks of the Daugava River with a lovely view of the river valley from a summer terrace. This is a popular dining venue with a modern and attractive interior made of wood, stone and red bricks. It offers musical evenings with musicians from various genres. A shop is alongside the restaurant. Latvian cuisine: Lettigalian sauerkraut soup, cream of wild mushroom or pumpkin soup, trout from a local stream, grilled pork, pork ribs, potato pancakes, strawberry soup with vanilla ice cream, bread soup.

	Pub MEKE	Opened on June 21, 2011, at the 51st kilometre of the Tallinn-Riga highway, the MEKE KROGS pub is a typical example of the roadside pubs which used to be built along the sides of roads and near homesteads, castles, mills and windmills. This particular one is located into renovated cattle shed that is more than 100 years old – a lovely log building that is named after the former baron of the local estate, von Mecke. Alongside it is the handsome parish building which was erected in 1907 with red bricks from Tūja. Latvian cuisine: Sorrel stew with grits, cold soup, pounded beef, mutton and vegetable stew, grits with smoked meat and mushrooms, herring with cottage cheese, bread soup. Special foods: Porridge with bacon bits and Meke spicy sausages.
	The Viesturi mini-zoo of exotic birds	Here you will find African ostriches, a South American rhea, an Australian emu, pearl hens, pheasants and peacocks. You can purchase ostrich and other eggs, as well as souvenirs made of eggs and feathers.
	The Juri farm	The owners of the farm inherited it. There is a wood house with decorative trim and window shutters. The owners use milk from their own cows to produce cheeses on the basis of old and modern recipes. You can taste the cheese, milk, clotted milk, buttermilk and other dairy products, watch how they are made, and take part in the process yourself. There are also animals to view.
	The Drubazas farm	After viewing the lovely scenes that are a part of the Drubazi nature trail, which runs along the banks of the Ancient Abava River Valley, the owner offers tastings of homemade wine. He produces wines from 12 different berries, including raspberries, black currants, blackberries, lingonberries, grapes, sea buckthorn, and others.
	Herbsts Cidery	Herbsts is a family-owned cidery producing natural, locally crafted cider in the western region of Latvia, Kurzeme. Our Story This is a story of old orchards, wild apple trees, and a passionate pursuit of creating ciders with a unique Baltic flavour. Apples Cider is made from apples hand-picked in a 60-year-old orchard. The search for distinctive cider flavours also lead the cider makers to the wild, where forest apples with unique tastes are found. During the winter months, a slow fermentation process transforms the apple juice into a flavourful and refreshing drink. Ciders Each cider tells a story of how its distinctive, unique flavour was discovered. The experiments and dedication were rewarded at the Nordic Cider Competition (NICA) in 2023, where "Dullais Dauka" won a gold medal and "Plūsis" took silver – the first international recognition for Herbsts ciders. For Visitors Each autumn, cider harvest gatherings are organised, offering everyone a chance to enjoy active time in the orchard, taste previous years' ciders, and enjoy a meal cooked over an open fire. 	Rakstu raksti / Andres el Leton pieminas maja	Kaltene is home to a memorial house that has been set up in honour of Andris Kārkliņš, who was known as the first internationally recognised flamenco guitarist of Latvian origin. Known as Andres El Leton, he was a composer, poet, writer and photographer. Visitors will learn all about the artist’s life and work via audio and video recordings. Up on the second floor of the building is a small creative workshop (SIA “Rakstu Raksti,” where people produce applied arts items such as folk costumes, linen products, accessories, souvenirs, etc. They sew apparel and home textiles from linen and other natural materials. The workshop has floristics specialists, and it accepts orders on sewn, knit and crocheted products. Master classes are also available. Visitors will enjoy local produced foodstuffs from the Roja Administrative District (fish, wine, cheese, conserves, jams, teas, etc.). Handicrafts and souvenirs are available for purchase.
	THE DROSI VESELS FARM	This farm is in the Vilce Parish in the Jelgava Administrative District. It grows greenhouse vegetables and plants, produces various medicinal plant ointments and offers lectures about nutrition and a health lifestyle. A country sauna is also available.
	Abavas gimenes vindaritavas vinogu darzs un vinotava	The vineyard of the ABAVA family winery covers 3.5 ha at this time, and is being expanded year by year. We have a wide range of types of grapes, and we harvest them each year to produce a limited amount of wine. The winery was set up by the family of Mārtiņš and Liene Barkāns, and it is a well-developed company which produces high-quality beverages from fruits and berries that are grown in Latvia. The ABAVA winery was established in 2010, and it quite quickly became one of Latvia’s leading wineries.
	KALNMUIZAS restaurant	Located in Kalnmuižas Castle. The pride of the restaurant's menu are the greens, fruits and vegetables from the ancient valley of the River Abava, wild game and mushrooms from Kurzeme forests, meat, crayfish, trout, goat’s cheese and home-made bread from the district’s farms. The menu depends on the season. Offer includes seasonal specialities.
