Saimniecībā, kura atrodas pašā Sēlijas novada centrā, aug un zied vairāk nekā 400 dažādu rožu šķirnes, kā arī siltumnīcās tiek audzēti dažādi dārzeņu un puķu stādi. Iegādei tiek piedāvāti dažādi viengadīgie augi, vairāki simti rožu stādi un ēdamaugu stādi siltumnīcai un dārzam. |

Der Livonische Orden hat 1342 auf der größten Insel des Alūksnes-Sees – Marijas bzw. Pilssala Insel eine befestigte Burg gebaut, die mit dem Seeufer eine 120 m lange Hebebrücke aus Holz vereinigte. Die Ordensburg hatte viele Vorburgen und wurde ständig bis zum Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts modernisiert und vergrößert. Diese Burg war eine der größten Burgen im Ostteil des Gebietes, das unter der Herrschaft des Livonischen Ordens stand. Ähnliche Burgen befanden sich in Vastseliina und Isborsk. In dieser Zeit wurden um die Burg herum die Schutzwallen errichtet. Die Ordensburg bestand bis zum Großen Nordischen Krieg, als 1702 die schwedischen geschlagenen Truppen einen Zentralteil der Burg in die Luft sprengten und ergaben sich, aber die russischen Truppen vollständig vernichteten. Heutzutage zeugen von den Ereignissen der damaligen Zeit die Burgruinen auf der Seeinsel, die mit dem Seeufer – dem Zentrum von Alūksne und dem Tempelberg – zwei Holzbrücken verbinden. In einem Konzertpavillon neben der Burgruinen finden verschiedene öffentliche Veranstaltungen statt. |

Ein mannigfaltiger Waldbestand, der durch die Vidzemer Straße und die Eisenbahnlinie Rīga-Lugaži halbiert ist. Das ist das Gebiet, in dem der am meisten gefährdete Vogel der Welt – die Blauracke – gefunden wird. Zwischen ¼ und 1/5 des lettischen Bestandes an Krähen findet man hier. Es ist auch eines der letzten Nistgebiete des Grünspechtes.

К северо-востоку от Мазирбской лютеранской церкви – в полемежду храмом и домом «Пакални» видны два чумных камня. На поверхности бóльшего был высечен (сейчас стерся) текст о ливах, которых одолел король Швеции Карл IX и чума. Сбоку на большой камень опирается второй (самый маленький) чумной камень, который в свое время был установлен у близлежащих домов. Стертый текст рассказывал об армиях, ходивших по Курземе, о голоде и чуме. Третий – Большой чумной камень находится заМазирбским имением священника. Высеченный на нем текст (еще немного просматривается) повествует будущим поколениям о местном священнике (умер во время чумы) и о создании пастората в Сикрагсе. Одновременно камень является памятником шести пасторам обширной окрестной общины. Все три камня повествуют о Большой эпидемии чумы 1710 года, и тексты высечены на них в период с 1711 по 1734 год. |

Vannūzis (Bath) – A building of the five-building complex “Kurhaus”. During the times of the Neibāde resort, this small building used to be a bath place. In order for the guests of the resort to be able to take a dip in the sea water even in bad weather, barrels of water were delivered by horses to the bath place. |

Tiskādi Old-Believers Prayer House was built in 1886 and reconstructed
in 1905. The large church was sanctified 100 years ago. It is situated in the district which is mostly populated by Old Believers. The church stands on the hill.
