By the beekeeping farm “Kalniņi” there is a Bee Hut – small wooden house in which you can feel the presence of bees. The hives with seven bee families are built-in the sides of the Bee Hut, but inside the building they are designed as beds or seats. When looking at the building from the outside you can see the bee runs and also bees themselves. In addition, “Kalniņi” also offer different types of bee products – honey, pollen bread, beautiful and aromatic wax candles. It is possible to taste beekeeping products and enjoy a cap of warm tea. Families with kids can participate in educational workshops, learn how to make wax candles and gain information about the daily life in the beekeeping farm.

Since summer 2018 everyone can also visit the House of Crafts, where you can participate in different activities such as Encaustic painting (also known as hot wax painting), create wooden souvenirs with burnt folk signs as well as create wax candles etc. The House of Crafts offers different itineraries for grownups, kids, youngsters and newlyweds. There you can also purchase the offered products - various flower honey, pollen, pollen bread, propolis, cell honey and wax candles.

Auf dem Hof werden aus Melisse, Himbeeren, Rainfarn, Frauenmantel, Wegerich und Lindenblüten Kräuterteemischungen und Teebeutel hergestellt (als Souvenirs oder Geschenk). Es gibt eine Imkerei. Die Hausherrin erzählt vom Leben auf dem Land, bietet Führungen zu Heilpflanzen und Imkerei an und zeigt, wie man traditionelle Gehege baut, bietet Verkostungen und Hofverkauf. Der Hof ist als Biohof zertifiziert, sodass großes Augenmerk auf gesunder Lebensführung liegt. Den Kunden werden folgende Tees geboten: Himbeere, Schwarze Johannisbeere, Lindenblüte, Mädesüß, Schafgarbe, Birkenblätter, Weiße Taubnessel usw.

Ein alter Bauernhof, deren Besitzer der Imkerei nachgehen. Organisiert werden ein Schulungsprogramm und auf Anfrage Schulen und Veranstaltungen.

Die Honigmeister werden ihren Imkereibetrieb vorstellen und über die Alltagspflichten des Imkers erzählen. Sie können Honig und verschiedene Honigmischungen probieren und kaufen, dann erhalten Sie zusätzlich luftgetrocknete Beeren.

This farm has more than 20 years of experience with beekeeping products and their sale.  Groups of tourists can tour the farm with the help of a knowledgeable guide.  There are creative workshops for children, games for teams, tastings of products, a location for picnics, as well as luncheons of soup cooked on a campfire along with honey bread.

This farm is an apiary, with hives of bees gathering honey. The farm has won prizes for its products. You can take a tour and learn about the lives of bees and beekeeping products, make your own wax candles, or attend educational seminars.

Der Wirt hat seine Wirtschaft an einem Ufer eines schönen Sees, an der Stelle eines alten Hauses gegründet. Er hat Bienenhäuser an zwei Orte aufgestellt: auf einem Hügel des Sees und auf einer schönen Waldwiese, die er selber gebildet hat. Neben dem Bienengarten befindet sich ein schöner Apfelgarten, wo der Wirt im Herbst sehr gerne Helfer sieht. Seit 1996 hat der Wirt langsam diese Wirtschaft erneuert und gepflegt: Jetzt befinden sich hier ein schöner See, ein Seehaus, eine Kornkammer mit renoviertem ersten Stockwerk und einem Balkon, ein Bienengarten und ein Apfelgarten.

Möglicherweise die am höchsten gelegene Imkerei im Baltikum, ca. 300 m über Meeresspiegel. Die Bio-Bienenprodukte werden auf dem Berg Gaiziņkalns und in der Umgebung geerntet. Es werden eine Führung durch den Bauernhof, Imkerei-Workshops und eine Verkostung der Bienenprodukte angeboten.
