Ismeri exists since 1861.

Documents show that the first windmill was built here in the 13th century along with the Kuldīga Castle. During the rule of Duke Jacob, gunpowder was manufactured at the windmill, and it later became the first place in Kurzeme where paper was manufactured. The building took on its current appearance during the 19th century. During the Soviet occupation, a metal processing workshop was in it. |

The master craftsman produces wooden spoons of linden and birch, as well as sauna switches with apples. You can watch him at work, try your own hand at making a spoon, purchase finished products, tour a collection of spoons, and also visit the old farm buildings. |

This potter upholds pottery traditions from the village of Silajāņi. He produces glazed and unglazed products such as dishware, candelabras, etc. You will hear attractive stories about pottery, be allowed to knead some clay and work on the potter’s wheel, and be able to tour an exhibition hall with samples of the master’s work, as produced over the course of the years. You can also commission and purchase products. |

Near the Priedīši homestead, there is a nature trail which allows visitors to study Lake Dziļezers and the surroundings. There are various lakes in this region which are found in a depression left behind by the Ice Age – Lake Dziļezers, Lake Riebezers, Lake Mazezers, Lake Auziņš, Lake Skuja and Lake Bruņķītis are all there. Along their shores, there are various kinds of forests, including ones with broadleaf trees that are under environmental protection. The trail is 3km in length and will take an hour or so to traverse. This is a part of the environmentally restricted territory of Lake Dziļezers and Lake Riebezers.

The Šilute Estate is often described on the basis of its last owner, Hugo Scheu, who bought the estate in 1889. He restored the estate's buildings and territory, also installing two parks, one for the estate, and the other one known as the "raven forest." Alongside the estate is an English-type park with strolling trails. The park is used by local residents and is on both sides of the curvy Scheu River, with the banks connected by pedestrian bridges. He park stretches to an old railroad bridge and has approximately 150 types of plants, including 40 types of trees and shrubs. |

The restaurant is in the “old school” of Ungurmuiža. Together with the nobleman’s estate and park, this makes up a unique cultural and historical monument. Located at the Lake Burtnieks southern shore, these are wetland meadows which are regularly flooded and which are important places for various birds, including the corn - crake, to nest. This is part on the environmentallyrestricted area which covers the meadows of Lake Burtnieks. |

Adamovas Manor (ancient name –Adamhof, Odumova) is the cultural monument of the state importance.
It has two well preserved buildings of the 19th century. The Manor was built in 1851. Landlords
Korfs, Žemčužņikova and Karaulovs were the owners of the manor. There was discovered a mineral spring
in 1905. It was named in the honour of St. Helena. Mineral water gained the highest awards in London in
1912 and in 1913 in Paris. Currently, there is no mineral spring anymore. However, there is Adamova sanatorium
boarding-school for children with psychoneurological illnesses. A modern sports complex was built
in 2006 for organizing national sports competitions. We offer sauna, conference rooms, boat rental, and accommodation
for 120 people.

Canoeing takes place from Cēsis to Līgatne, which is one of the nicest parts of the River Gauja with its sandstone banks, remote farmsteads and old fashioned water-powered ferry. Līgatne historic centre is connected with the development of its paper mill. Here you can also visit local wine and handicraft producers located in one of the artificial caves typical of the area. Walk the Līgatne Nature Trails to see local wild animals in a forest setting. At the end you will cycle from Līgatne to Sigulda, which is one of the most popular tourist sights in Latvia. You'll see the Turaida and Sigulda medieval castles, Gutman’s Cave and other picturesque views. |
