The “Pie Daugavas” glamping site is on land which has been passed down from generation to generation on the banks of the Daugava River and on the boundary between Jaunjelgava and Sērene. There are eight furnished glamping tents to rest in comfort on the banks of the river. The tents are 5m wide and 3m high, with carpeting to soothe your feet, a comfortable mattress that will ensure comfort for your back, as well as an easy chair into which you can sink with a book in hand. Electricity and WIFI will keep you linked to the outer world. You can reserve a Latvian-made jacuzzi with a wood-fired internal stove and installed hydro-massage and LED lighting. A spherical cupola tent with 65 m2 is also available. A new aspect at the tent in the summer of 2023 was a series of concerts on the banks of the Daugava. |

The watermill of the Krape Estate is found on the Lobe River in the Ogre Administrative District. Owners offer tours of the mill so that you can learn how the old mill operates. You can stroll along the banks of the river or learn about plants in the meadow. There are places for tenting, but the main operation here is the production of elixirs from meadow plants, production of soy wax candles, production of etheric oils and hydrolats, a well as growing trout and African catfish that can be viewed during the season. A new thing is SPA services with floating, a halotherapy salt beach and an aromatherapy steam system. Floating is a unique way to boost your health. You’ll be dipped into a warm magnesium salt solution, which will allow your body to relax completely in physical, emotional and intellectual terms. The solution (MgSO4) is very concentrated, and it has a temperature of +37C, which is body temperature. That’s what makes the procedure so relaxing. Your body will not sink because of the concentration of salt, and you will float above it like bobber. You will relax all of your tendons and possibly compressed nerves. This is a place for leisure in Mazirbe along the Livonian shore. It is part of the Slītere National Park, and the venue welcomes solo travellers, families and groups of friends. There are six buildings which can accommodate up to 50 people – rooms for one, two or three visitors, as well as one room for 12 visitors. A new service building has a lavatory, shower and kitchen. The true country ice cream at Dviete is provided by a family company which makes ice cream from locally sourced milk and barriers. There are no E-substances, no plant oils, and less sugar than is common. The cows which provide the milk are not kept in sheds. They graze in the biological pastures of the Dviete wetlands. They are known as “happy cows,” and the milk ensures a unique taste for the ice cream that is made of it. The café offers homemade ice cream and waffles, as well as delicious coffee in a lovely and well-appointed place from which you can see the lovely and extensive Dviete wetlands. The farm is located in the north-west of Latvia, which was historically inhabited by Livonians and, nowadays, is often called the Livonian coast.
