The Strauti farm is on the eastern edge of hillocks in Embūte. The southern edge of the farm neighbours large forests with many wild animals. Alongside is a former fowl farm. The farm breeds rabbits, sheep, fowl, two horses and a pony. It has a herd of cows, including Latvian Blue cows. The farm offers tours for schoolchildren and others. Contact the farm in advance to purchase rabbit meat, wool and vegetables. The farm is biological. |

This is one of the few places in the Baltic States where one can find Devonian period sandstone cliffs featuring abrasion caves, arches, etc. The cliffs are on the shores of Lake Peipsi (Peipsi järv), near Kallaste, and they are between two and four (in some cases – nine) metres high, stretching for a distance of around one km.

This estate is an unexpected surprise in this place and date. Work on the castle began in themed-18th century, and it was rebuilt one century later. During the first half of the 20th century the castle hosted an elementary school, and during the Soviet occupation it was an apartment building. Today the castle has been reborn in terms of form and content in the direct and indirect sense. The Mountain Holiness Community works here. During the summer, there are children's camps and other events. The old stairs, window shutters and brass door hinges are all original. A church is being built on the site. The Renaissance-style garden can be visited. Contact the estate in advance for a tour of the interior of the castle an church in the company of local residents who will tell you all about the history of the estate and its garden. 300 m to the south-west of the estate is the Brukna Castle Hill, which is hard to see in situ and even harder to access. |

There is no need to enter the bog to see it, there are good views from the highway Ventspils – Riga (77 km, bus stop “Pagrieziens uz Elkskeni”). The main value of restricted area is chalky fen bog with brown bog-rush (greatest habitat finding in Latvia). Be careful when stopping on the highway – mind the traffic! A couple of kilometers towards Riga, on the right side of the highway, there is sign to Grizu Velna kresls ( Grizu Devil Chair) which is an attractive boulder (protected).

The Wine Hill of Sabile has been known since the age of the Duchy of Courland as the northernmost place where grapes were grown to produce more or less sour wine for the duchy. A wine festival has been held each year during the latter half of July in Sabile since 1999. The hill offers an excellent view of the small town that is on the banks of the ancient Abava River Valley. |

Atrodamas ziņas, ka Rankas muižas pils celta 18. gs. vidū un 19. gs. vidū (nozīmīgi - 1836.-1866.g.) pārbūvēta, kad uzceltas pārējās saimniecības ēkas. 20. gs. šeit atradās dažādas ar izglītību saistītas iestādes: 30. gados - Rankas mājturības skola, pēc 2. pasaules kara - Rankas lauksaimniecības skola. Muižas pils cieta 80. – 90. gadu mijā divu ugunsgrēku laikā. Daļēji saglabājušās kalpu mājas, kūtis, klētis, dārznieka māja, “brūzis” u.c. ēkas. Kopš 2013. gada ieguldīts milzīgs darbs, lai Rankas muižas kompleksu atjaunotu un izveidotu par sakārtotu, tīru vidi. Teritorijā notiek atjaunošanas darbi muižas ēkām. 2003. gadā par Rankas muiža kompleksa īpašniekiem kļuva Ābolu ģimene un, pateicoties viņiem, Rankas muižas komplekss pamazām atdzimst. Ekskursija pa Rankas muižu iekļauj visu telpu apskati: recepciju, antīko automašīnu un priekšmetu izstādi, mākslas galeriju, bibliotēku un Romas katoļu kapelu, kā arī muižas 8,4 hektārus plašo parku ar trīs dīķiem. |

Latgale Farmstead „Mežmalas”. The owners of the farmstead created an interesting collection of the old
household items, tools and equipment of the 19th and 20th century. The visitors are offered to try plainting of
the scale basket. Sale of baskets and herbal tea. Enjoy walking along the energetic path through the pine forest.

The great Black Plague rock, which has engraved text that can still be seen
to a certain extent – it tells future generations about the local pastor who died
from the plague, about how the parsonage was established at Sīkrags and then
moved to Mazirbe. The rock is also a monument to six pastors of the nearby
congregations. All the three stones tell about the horrors of the Black Plague in
1710, the texts have been engraved during the parson Peterson in 1711-1734.

Guest house "Ausmas" is located in Valka region, and can accommodate up to 30 people. Catering services are also available both on site and off-site. Guests have access to a wet sauna, as well as a sauna ritual with a skilled bather. The guest house organizes various events, as well as tours and groups of children. There is also an animal farm on the farm, where children can feed and love a variety of animals. The owners actively cooperate with the neighboring farms. The owners of the guest house are home-grown producers who offer guests a variety of smoked meats, cheeses and homemade bread. Master classes are offered in both cheese tying and bread baking. Our tour leader will meet you at the Riga airport. Depending of the flight time we' ll have an excursion of Riga Old Town and the Central Market listed in UNESCO World Heritage list. Next day we visit potatoes grower near Iecava and successful local multi-sectoral agricultural enterprise at Tervete which combines horse breeding, brewery, crop growing, dairy farm and bio energy production. Also we will visit one of the biggest medical herb growers and producers of the herbal teas. After full day of professional visits, we' ll taste Latvian traditional food and beer in a traditional tavern in Riga. Then we will visit two cattle growers at Sigulda and Cesis area, climb up the tower of Turaida Castle for a great panoramic view and walk charming streets of Cesis Old Town. Afterwards we will visit ecological sheep farm near Valka and stay overnight at the Koni Mill where wool is still processed traditional way, warm blankets and beautiful bed linen made. |

The Slutiški village is a very ethnographic village with a layout and buildings typical of the Latgale region, complete with decorated windows and facades. The Slutiški Old Believers House features a museum focusing on the cultural environment and traditions of the Old Believers. One of Latvia’s most unusual landscapes can be seen from the ancient banks of the Daugava River. |

The road leading to this estate is reminiscent of a narrow mountain road with a deep river valley alongside it. The estate used to be known as the Libe Estate, and the buildings that are seen there now belonged to a nobleman, Magnuss. The mansion has a Neo-Gothic glass tower which is known as an architectural curio among specialists. The Sarkaņi Parish Council sits in the mansion. The granary is the work of a local enthusiast, Andris Trečaks, who has collected a series of ancient objects. Outside the granary is a very broad view of the “lower” Lubāna flatlands, resembling a painting with an empty frame. |

The Castle was restored recently and now exhibits life and history of a noble family on three floors. Tour guides have numerous stories and legends to tell, visitors can make their personal castle souvenirs. |
