The flats of Saules Kvartāls (Block of Sun) are found in the city centre and at a 15-minute walk from the Ventspils Olympics Centre and the skateboard park, 10 minutes from the Reņķa garden, 15 minutes from a children’s playground and other tourist destinations. The nearest store is just 100 metres away. There are three types of rooms at Saules Kvartāls – a studio flat for a family, a small room for two, and a two-room studio type flat. All of the apartments have a television set and WIFI, as well as a small kitchen where you can boil water in a kettle. There is also a stove along with kitchen equipment and utensils. All guests have a common use grill with the necessary equipment to use free of charge. There are also garden furnishings, a trampoline for the kids, and a sauna. |

Das Geburtshaus des einstigen lettischen Premierministers und späteren Staatspräsidenten Karlis Ulmanis (1877–1942), in dem seit 1993 ein Museum eingerichtet ist. Karlis Ulmanis war besonders unter den Landwirten sehr beliebt, denn dank seiner erreichte Lettland ein hohes wirtschaftliches Niveau. Auf dem Hof sind das Wohnhaus, ein Wirtschaftsgebäude mit Stallungen und Scheune sowie ein Speicher erhalten. In den Gebäuden gibt es eine Gedenkausstellung für K. Ulmanis, zusätzlich eine große Sammlung landwirtschaftlicher Geräte. |

The watermill of the Krape Estate is found on the Lobe River in the Ogre Administrative District. Owners offer tours of the mill so that you can learn how the old mill operates. You can stroll along the banks of the river or learn about plants in the meadow. There are places for tenting, but the main operation here is the production of elixirs from meadow plants, production of soy wax candles, production of etheric oils and hydrolats, a well as growing trout and African catfish that can be viewed during the season. A new thing is SPA services with floating, a halotherapy salt beach and an aromatherapy steam system. Floating is a unique way to boost your health.
