LIELBORNES MUIZA

Lielborne Manor is a manor complex in the territory of the Nature Park “Daugavas loki”. In Lielborne there is an old park built on terraces, a 2 km long embossed walking trail, a mill pond and a waterfall. Recreational sites have been built in the historical places, which offer a view of the mill ruins, ponds, the river of Borne river and the Daugava.

Active entertainment facilities are offered in the territory of the manor: a playground for children, a rope track for young people and a climbing wall. You can also try the Slack line and outdoor exercise equipment. Guests of the manor are offered bicycles, boat trips, quad bike rides in winter and horseback riding, including re-therapy.

In the manor complex it is possible to stay overnight in the manor house or camping with tent places.

Hotel KARLAMUIZA

Das Landhaus befindet sich in der Gletschermulde des Flusses Gauja – auf dem Gelände des Nationalparks Gauja.  Im Landhaus gibt es 9 speziell eingerichtete Appartements mit individueller Atmosphäre – je mit einem oder zwei Schlafzimmern. SCHLOSS BIRINI
Der Birinu Gutshof mit dem Park wurde im 18.-19. Jh. erbaut. Das Schlossgebäude stammt aus dem Jahr 1860 und ist ein erfolgreiches Beispiel einer Vermischung mehrerer Baustile. In der Aussenarchitektur dominieren Neogothik und Formen des Halbkreises, in der Innenarchitektur – die Neorenaissance. Heute ist das Schloss ein angesehener Platz für Veranstaltung, Bankette und Seminare. Getrennt von den Banketträumen befinden sich im Schloss Hotelyimmer und Restaurant. Auch Individualreisende sind eingeladen Ferien im romantischen Schloss und desssen Umgebung zu verbringen.

The manor is a popular venue for full-service celebrations, offering spacious event halls, a picturesque manor park, catering, decorating, and event planning services. The Dundaga Castle

This is one of the largest castles in Kurzeme, and it has survived to this very day without much damage.  Construction on it began in the mid-13th century by the Rīga Dome.  In 1434, the bishop of Kurzeme bought the Dundaga Estate, and from the 16th to the 20th century, it was owned by the noble Maidel and Osten-Zacken dynasties.  The Dundaga Castle has burned down twice and been rebuilt many times, most recently after the fire that was set during the 1905 Revolution.  The stone images of a knight and a bishop on the left and right side of the door are interesting.  The hotel, second-floor hall and terrace that is popular for weddings have all been restored in recent years.  There are many legends about the castle, including an elf wedding and the Green Girl.  Today the castle houses the Dundaga School of Music and Art, a hotel with halls for celebrations, the Dundaga Tourism Information Centre and various exhibitions.  Guides are available for tours, and groups of tourists can order tastings of local foods.
