Pirmie dokumenti par Kokmuižu atrodami 1601. gada zemes revīzijas pierakstos. Tur sniegtā informācija vēsta, ka Kokmuiža pastāvējusi jau 1560. gadā. Taču 1880. gadā vācu muižnieks sākas celt kungu māju neobaroka stilā. 20. gs. sākumā tā tika izpostīta, bet 1937. gadā to pārveidoja par skolu. Kokmuižā kādreiz atradusies alus darītava. Tas bija laika periodā no 17.- 20. gs. Tā bija viena no slavenākajām alusdarītavām visā Vidzemes guberņā. Mūsdienās var izstaigāt muižu pats vai gida pavadībā. Var aplūkot kungu māju, staļļu ēkas, muižas pārvaldnieka namu, bibliotēku, ekspozīciju, abas klētis un alus darītavas pagrabu, kā arī sfērisko saules pulksteni.

When you travel along the northern shore of Lake Sauka where the road to Klauce crosses your road, you will see the Sauka Lutheran Church among the trees. This is the third church at this location. It was opened in 1827 and can mostly be viewed from the outside. The altar is decorated with sculptures of St Peter and St Paul, as well as the altar painting “Jesus on the Cross with Mary and John,” which is by J. Doering. The organ was built by craftsmen in Jelgava, and the pipes were manufactured in Sauka. |

The bakery offers more than 50 different types of bread products. The “Arona” rye bread has been awarded the “Zaļā karotīte” certificate of conformity. Products awarded with the “Bordo karotīte” certificate: Rye bread, Sweet and sour bread, Latgale tin loaf, Scored white bread, Hearth rye bread, Cesvaine hearth bread, Madona sweet and sour bread, Biržu sweet and sour bread. Several medals were received at the Riga Food exhibition. |

The Preiļi Estate is in the southern part of Preiļi. During the Soviet era, the mansion was home to a variety of institutions. A fire burned much of the upper part of the building in 1978. The mansion was never restored, and it can only be viewed from the outside. Around it, however, is one of Latvia’s most outstanding landscape parks (mid-19th century). Irēna Kjarkuža offers interesting tours of the state, with interesting legends and songs in the Lettigalian language. |

The Vecsiljāņi farm is in the Bebri Parish in the Koknese Administrative District. It is a dairy farm and also grows wheat, barley, oats, rye, corn and grasses. In 2010 the farm began to produce hard cheese under the brand name "Ievas siers." Visitors can taste the cheese and tour the farm and the cheese-making facility. |

The part of the swamp which has mosses, not peat, is important for plover-type birds during nesting season, and goose-type birds during migration.

The watermill was restored in the 1920s and renewed operations in 1992. It offers a look at historical mechanisms and the milling process, while the café offers pancakes made of the flour that is ground at the mill. Latvian cuisine: Herring with cottage cheese and boiled potatoes, pancakes with mushrooms, cheese, vegetables, meat, honey, cream, cottage cheese, ice cream and caramel. |

Национальный парк «Кемери» (основан в 1997 г.) создан, прежде всего, для защиты водноболотных угодий – мелководного побережья Рижского залива, заросших прибрежных озер, болот, влажных лесов (трясин и др.) и пойменных лугов, как значимых мест произростания многих растений (~ 25 % от видов растений, занесенных в Красную книгу Латвии) и обитания животных, особенно мест скопления гнездящихся и перелетных птиц. На территории парка находится один из крупнейших заболоченных массивов Латвии – Большое Кемерское болото. Заболоченные массивы являются значимым местом образования и выхода сероводородных вод, а также местонахождения лечебных грязей, используемых в медицине, которые в свое время послужили основанием для создания известного курорта «Кемери». The farm produces mixes involving seeds from various plants – ones which are very healthy in terms of human nutrition. Visitors will hear stories, purchase products and taste hemp pancakes. The tour takes place at the “Mazais Ansis” saloon. |

The castle was built during the first half of the 19th century in Tudor Neo-Gothic forms. The first owner of the castle was Baron Johann Gottlieb von Wolff. During the 1870s and 1880s it was rebuilt in the style of French Neo-Renaissance. The castle was burned down during the 1905 Revolution, but it was restored with certain elements of Art Nouveau forms. Tours are available of the interior of the building. |

3 km to the south of the centre of Jūrkalne, near the old (gravelled) road between Liepāja and Jūrkalne, is the place where the three-year Feliksberga Maritime School existed between 1871 and 1902. The building is long gone, and the memorial has involves an oaken boat with two wooden poles on which old ownership signs have been engraved. |

The White Dune is one of the landmarks of Saulkrasti, on the Vidzeme gulf coast. The dune offers a splendid view of the sea, the mouth of the Inčupe River and the vast beach. The White Dune formed as the wind drove beach sand over the clay silt of Baltic Ice Lake. Its white 18 meters high sand outcrop once helped local fishermen find their way home. The dune got its name from its white, hardened layers of sand which look like sandstone. |

This wooden pathway will introduce the visitor to a high-type swamp and a unique habitat – a place where sulphur streams flow into the Raganu swamp. The little lakes in the swamp are unique – they are the result of sulphur bacteria, and there is a special range of species in those lakes. The landscape is interesting, and the smell of sulphur pervades, mostly from sulphur ponds. The trail is 800m long and will require 20 minutes to an hour to traverse. The object is on the border of the Zemgale and Vidzeme regions.

Everyone could try their hand at mushrooming, identification and by the end of the day together with guide sort out the collected mushrooms.
