Abgunste Manor is an 18th-century Baroque-style building, located a 25-minute drive from Jelgava. Guests are invited to enjoy stories from the manor’s hosts and participate in guided tours. Visitors can participate in various creative workshops, indulge in authentic "edible celebrations," and stay overnight in uniquely designed guest rooms. The manor is a popular venue for full-service celebrations, offering spacious event halls, a picturesque manor park, catering, decorating, and event planning services. The manor’s owners, Asnāte and Jānis Avotnieki purchased the property in 2016 and, together with the "Creative Haven" association, are dedicated to its restoration and development. The farm is located in the north-west of Latvia, which was historically inhabited by Livonians and, nowadays, is often called the Livonian coast. Farm is one of the first homes in Kolka, 1.2 km from Kolkasrags, the furthest northern point of Courland separating the Baltic Sea from the Gulf of Riga. The owner of the farm demonstrates the way in which the traditional Northern Kurzeme dessert that is a carrot bun and is known as a "sklandrausis" is prepared. Sklandrausis is registered in the EU food quality scheme as a product with traditional speciality guaranteed. Hikers can take a tour to see the industrial history of Kolka, complete with theatrical elements and tasting of Latvia’s best sprats. Relax among natural meadows at Antiņciems, which is part of the Ķemeri National Park. There is space for picnicking and tenting, with canopies for seminars and private events outdoor. A guide will accompany you for a stroll through a meadow where you can truly sense the presence of nature. Owner Sanita Matule teaches master classes related to products from the meadows – tastings and educational activities outdoors. Sanita will tell various stories about Antiņciems, the border between Kurzeme and Vidzeme, traditions in growing chicory, etc. There is a permanent spiral herbal bed for various herbs. The owner grows chicory and offers chicory coffee. Purchase or taste products from “Sanita’s Meadow Goodies.” Celebrate the “Chicory Festival,” the “Meet your Master” event, “Home Café Days,” seminars about medicinal plants, information about tending to biologically valuable meadows, stories about when the TV show “True Latvian Homemakers” was filmed here. About 20 minutes by car from Sigulda, this is a venue that offers you a chance to go fishing in a pond that covers 3 ha and offers every opportunity for relaxation. You can rent a boat, and during the winter you can go ice fishing. Next to the pond is a two-story house with a kitchen and an opportunity to spend the night as long as you bring your own mattress. There are three rooms on the lower and three on the higher floor of the building. Next to the house is a lean-to, and there is a pergola not far from the pond. The More War Museum is a bit more than half a kilometre away. Also nearby is the Safari Park. |

The KUKŪZES weekend house is in the town of Sēbruciems in the Babīte Parish, which is a quiet territory near Rīga. We offer accommodations in two weekend huts in a forested area with a view of a nice pond. Both huts are equipped with everything that you will need to relax. The huts have room for two to four adults or for a family with kids. Each hut has a pull-down bed and a sofa bed. There are also cribs for babies. You’ll have access to utensils to cook food, various types of food, tea, coffee, an electric stove, a refrigerator, an electric ta kettle, a coffee machine for coffee lovers, and a grill outside the huts. We’ll supply you with towels, a hair-dryer and hygiene products. An Internet link and television are both available. Both huts have small furnished terraces with a view of the pond. During the warm season, there is a free swimming area which is particularly appropriate for families with small children. During cold weather, an additional offer involves a hot jacuzzi. |

The name of the house is ‘Ārpus Laika’ and it means ‘Beyond Time’. The family has created a landscape park and they practice green living in a dome house designed by themselves. The family also manufactures garden furniture and hammocks. The buildings are surrounded by a beautiful park and a pond full of frogs and fishes. The surrounding landscape of the park with a pergola, a bridge, a forest and fields creates a very tranquil countryside atmosphere that can be experienced just a short drive away from the capital city. The hostess makes wines and offers tasting of different sorts. She also demonstrates cooking of traditional Latvian desserts. The place is also popular for weddings and post-wedding photo sessions. |

The campsite is located in Slītere National Park, 3 kilometers from the sandy Baltic Sea. There are 6 buildings with a total of 50 beds - rooms for 3, 5, 6 or 12 people. There are two country kitchens, a library with books in Latvian and English, a large dining room. New service house with WC, shower and kitchen. You can also have a sauna. There are several trails and forest paths in the Slītere National Park for walks. The nearest shop is 2 km away in the village of Mazirbe. The campsite is open from June 1 to August 31. |
