This winery produces wine from fruits and berries from its own garden, as well as from wild fruits and berries – raspberry, apple, gooseberry, blackberry, strawberry, red bilberry, rowanberry, blueberry, red currant, elderberry, shadberry and dandelion wine.  The main product is sparkling wine from raspberries that is similar to Champagne.  The wines can be tasted at the cosy winery, which has a garden terrace.  During the summer, visitors can tour the garden, which is partly landscaped and partly wild.  Talk to the owner in advance, and he will prepare a campfire on which you will be able to cook food that you bring with you and enjoy it with the wine.  There are also fruit and berry juices for children.

By the beekeeping farm “Kalniņi” there is a Bee Hut – small wooden house in which you can feel the presence of bees. The hives with seven bee families are built-in the sides of the Bee Hut, but inside the building they are designed as beds or seats. When looking at the building from the outside you can see the bee runs and also bees themselves. In addition, “Kalniņi” also offer different types of bee products – honey, pollen bread, beautiful and aromatic wax candles. It is possible to taste beekeeping products and enjoy a cap of warm tea. Families with kids can participate in educational workshops, learn how to make wax candles and gain information about the daily life in the beekeeping farm.

Since summer 2018 everyone can also visit the House of Crafts, where you can participate in different activities such as Encaustic painting (also known as hot wax painting), create wooden souvenirs with burnt folk signs as well as create wax candles etc. The House of Crafts offers different itineraries for grownups, kids, youngsters and newlyweds. There you can also purchase the offered products - various flower honey, pollen, pollen bread, propolis, cell honey and wax candles.

The potter produces candelabras, dishes and whistles that you can buy at the workshop. She also accepts commissions for new products. You can work with your own clay and take the resulting product home with you as a souvenir.

The Jaunpils Crafts House opened on May 10, 2015, and it is home to a group of weavers from Jaunpils that was established in 1970, as well as the “Dzīpars” organisation.  The group is led by a master weaver, Velga Pavlovska, who is happy to share her knowledge with the 18 women who are part of the group.  She organises the work of women who do handicrafts, and she also conducts tours and creative workshops.  Visitors can learn about the work of weavers and other master handicraft specialists, take part in educational master classes, go on tours and purchase various souvenirs.

The biggest and the most impressive public decoration in the open air which was originally built in 2004 as the set for the film „The guards of Riga”and later as the set for the film directed by J.Streich „Rudolf’s inheritance”. Here you will also find the weapon museum Arsenal (contains weapons of different periods, uniforms and household goods), as well as the bakery "Laci".

The restaurant is situated in Skulte district – 8 km away from Saulkrasti, in the direction of Minhauzen Museum. It is on a steep cliff alongside the sea, with a lovely view of the sea from the summer terrace during sunsets. The restaurant works with local fishermen, and the restaurant’s menu consists mostly of high quality local Baltic sea fish.

Latvian cuisine: Cold soup, fish soup, porridge, grey peas with bacon and onions, herring with potatoes and cottage cheese, stacked rye bread, crepes with jam, rhubarb or sea buckthorn sorbet.

Special foods: Various fish dishes – bream, pike-perch, perch, plaice, salmon and herring.

Zilver beverages come from the Zilver family country house in Sigulda.

Our Story 
Initially, the cider makers produced cider for their own needs, using the harvest from their apple orchard. The family business’s main products are fruit and berry wines. Cider became a favourite drink of the Zilver family, especially in the summer. Its taste and quality were also appreciated by family friends and clients, which led the family to expand cider production.

Apples  
The farm’s apple orchard has around 80 different apple varieties, some of which are specifically selected for cider-making.

Ciders
Zilver produces Quince Semi-Sweet Cider and Wild Apple Cider.

For Visitors 
Guests are offered a tour of the production facility, as well as cider and wine tastings with snacks. During the summer season, visitors can observe the "captured apples" – apples grown directly in bottles and later infused with apple brandy.

The Berghof Milk Estate with saunas. The weekend sauna at the estate offers a country sauna and the holiest type of traditional sauna – the black rock sauna. This is a ritual which takes several hours, with handmade switches, massages, scrubs, rinsing and herbal teas from Sieksāte. The mansion of the estate has a wet sauna, a steam sauna, a basin with a stream and a fireplace. The Rožu Saloon off ers delicious dining, and the Milk Spa allows you to relax in milk baths. The flats of Saules Kvartāls (Block of Sun) are found in the city centre and at a 15-minute walk from the Ventspils Olympics Centre and the skateboard park, 10 minutes from the Reņķa garden, 15 minutes from a children’s playground and other tourist destinations.  The nearest store is just 100 metres away.

There are three types of rooms at Saules Kvartāls – a studio flat for a family, a small room for two, and a two-room studio type flat.  All of the apartments have a television set and WIFI, as well as a small kitchen where you can boil water in a kettle.  There is also a stove along with kitchen equipment and utensils.

All guests have a common use grill with the necessary equipment to use free of charge.  There are also garden furnishings, a trampoline for the kids, and a sauna.

The “Liepājas virziens” café is found on the Liepāja highway (A9) – kilometre 0.5.  You’ll enjoy our cosy atmosphere, our friendly prices, and our children’s playground, summer terrace and catered meals for celebrations.  The family restaurant “Irbēni” has been welcoming hungry guests since 1988.
