Owner Agrita Laizāne tends to her garden every day, particularly in the spring, when she is inspire to plant the flowers. The museum is in the mansion of the Dole Estate, which was built in 1898 for the Loeuwis von Menar dynasty. The collection presents Daugava as an important water route, with the apparel of Baltic and Liv tribes, everyday objects, etc. Outside the movement is equipment to catch lampreys and a reconstructed weir to catch salmon. Alongside is a 17th century cannon from the Duchy of Courland that was found in the Misa River and was cast in Baldone. Nearby are four cannons from the Russian tsar’s army. Those were found on a building lot in Salaspils in 2007. |

The 77th Zenith Missile Brigade of the Soviet Army was charged with air defences along the Soviet Union’s external border. The facility is owned by the regional local government and is not used for anything. There is an interesting gate at the entrance to the facility, however.

The radio telescope at Irbene was at one time used for anti-espionage purposes. There were various military units and objects in Irbene, including a military housing estate that has now been abandoned. The radio telescope is now run by the Radio Astronomy Centre of the Latvian Academy of Sciences for scientific purposes. Guided tours of the object are available.

Dundaga baron once was one of the largest landowners of Courland, therefore during the second half of 19th century around the estate formed centre of economic and social life. Dundaga Central Square is dominated by its water tower, behind which starts Dakterleja, where from 1844 to 1854 worked one of the first ethnic Latvian doctors and linguist, J. Bars. Until the sixties of the 20th century from the Dundaga through Mazirbe and fishermen villages to Ventspils ran a Narrow gauge train. Today Dundaga attracts tourists with its spectacular castle, the Lutheran church, crocodile sculpture, Eizenberga pottery workshops and other objects. |

"Veckūri" is a milk processor that produces non-traditional dairy products from the milk obtained on its farm. This tour will take you exploring the peculiar island of Rusnė and the delta of the river Nemunas in Lithuania. The island of Rusnė in the Nemunas Delta Regional Park is enclosed by waters of the river Nemunas and its tributaries. It is a resting place for migratory birds and home to a cormorant colony. The area of the island is 45 km2 and it is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The island of Rusnė is the lowest place in Lithuania, lying below sea level. The historic centre of the town Rusnė is characteristic of authentic wooden architecture, buildings painted in bright colours, colourful window shutters and decorations. The Baltic Coastal Hiking Route leads through the small town of Šilutė, revealing architecture that was once common to East Prussia. From Šilutė to Kintai, the Baltic Coastal Hiking Route runs along a low plain. To protect this area from flood waters of Nemunas, there is a system of dams, polders and canals established. After crossing the river Minija, the route invites you to visit the ethnographic village of Minija. Here you can enjoy the lowland landscape of the seaside region with vast wetlands and ponds. |

The memorial site with a 1936 monument produced by the sculptor Kārlis Zāle is located in Smārde near the Smārde-Tukums road. It commemorates 38 soldiers who fell during World War I. Between 1915 and 1917, the front line was near Smārde. Many men were killed, and they were buried at the local swamp. It was only after the war that they were reburied in Smārde, Kūdra, Ķemeri, and Sloka. |

The manor’s castle was built in the middle of the 18th century (belonging to the noble kin of baron Medem) as a huntsmen castle. Later, in the 19th century, it was rebuilt by adding a second floor. The kitchen was situated in the vaulted basements of the castle and when the food was ready, it was brought upstairs in the elevator. The gantry entrance of the castle (late baroque) and marble buttons above it picturing the coat of amrs of the union of Medem and Keizerling noble kins, is one of the most valuable example of arts monuments of the 18th century. To this day there are various outhouses preserved- a threshing barn, a granary and a smithy, as well as the park. In front of the castle one can see a magnificent oak, which was supposedly planted by K.Ulmanis. From 1837 the manor’s castle has also served as a place for Vilce primary school. |

Water mill that is used for grinding grains: coarse milling, pearling, and making groats. At the annual Sowing Festival and Harvest Festival, the exhibited steam-powered machine and threshing machine can also be seen in action. During festivals, countryside markets and tastings also take place. |
