Lauskis cider is crafted from organically grown apples in a nearly century-old apple orchard.

Our Story
The Lauskis winery and cidery was established in 2019. The ciders and fruit wines are produced in the 300-year-old vaulted cellars of Krape Manor, located in the parish of Lēdmane. The owner, Vents Grīnbaums, named the winery in honour of his great-grandfather Vilis Lausks, a well-known Latvian fruit grower and teacher at the Bulduri Horticultural School.

Apples
The apple harvest is still gathered from apple trees planted almost 100 years ago.

Ciders
The cidery produces semi-dry and semi-sweet apple cider, as well as apple-and-chokeberry cider. Lauskis ciders have won awards at the Nordic International Cider Awards (NICA) and the international cider competition SISGA in Asturias, Spain.

For visitors
Visitors are welcome to learn all about cider-making at the manor, sampling ciders and local snacks. With advance notice, anyone can join in on apple picking and juice pressing in autumn.

The guest house is located about 6 km from Sigulda. "Mauriņi" was built in such a way that one of the ancient oak trees is visible from each window. Home cooking, using local farmers' products, berries and mushrooms picked in the area, and home-grown vegetables. Abavas Winery, located near Tukums, invites you to taste Latvian fruit and berry wines, ciders, a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, as well as spirits.

History
The inspiration to establish the winery came to the owners during their honeymoon trip, when they visited some of Europe’s oldest wineries. Over the years, it has grown into the largest and most renowned winery in Latvia.

Grapes
Near Sabile, the winery cultivates a 4-hectare vineyard – the largest commercial vineyard in Latvia and one of the northernmost in the world. The harvested grapes are used to produce award-winning wines.

Apples
At the 4-hectare apple orchard next to the winery in Tukums grow apple trees that were planted during Soviet times and represent the industrial varieties of that period. Meanwhile, a certified organic apple orchard has been established near Sabile. From the harvest, excellent and award-winning alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are crafted.

For Visitors
The owners warmly invite guests to visit the winery, learn its story, and enjoy a tasting of various drinks. For groups, snack platters can be pre-ordered. The winery also offers spaces for events – seminars, parties, and corporate gatherings.

About 20 minutes by car from Sigulda, this is a venue that offers you a chance to go fishing in a pond that covers 3 ha and offers every opportunity for relaxation.  You can rent a boat, and during the winter you can go ice fishing.  Next to the pond is a two-story house with a kitchen and an opportunity to spend the night as long as you bring your own mattress.  There are three rooms on the lower and three on the higher floor of the building.  Next to the house is a lean-to, and there is a pergola not far from the pond.  The More War Museum is a bit more than half a kilometre away.  Also nearby is the Safari Park.

Līgatne Winery is a family business that produces special ciders in the Gauja National Park.

Our Story
Līgatne Winery is a family business established in 2010 with the aim of producing high-quality, delicious homemade wine from berries and fruits grown in Latvia. For several years now, the company has also been producing cider.

Apples
The family’s orchard is located in Gauja National Park, where they use autumn and winter apple varieties to create sweet apple ice cider and semi-sweet quince cider. The newer cider apple trees, known for their red flesh, yield a juice that gives the cider a pink hue.

Tastings are held by candlelight in the sandstone cave "Lustūzis" in Līgatne, accompanied by stories about the historical Līgatne paper mill village, caves, cliffs, and the traditions of winemaking and cider production. Hostel "Sili" is located near Jelgava, in Mežciems. It has 19 rooms, as well as a conference and event hall, fully equipped kitchens with all the necessary equipment and utensils for cooking (ceramic hob, refrigerator, kettle, microwave, pots, pans and kitchen utensils). New and pleasant shared toilets and showers are available on each floor. Room cleaning and a bed linen set are included in the price. Also accessible for disabled guests - there is a specially equipped room as well as facilities. Guests have free parking at the hostel.

It is possible to organize business parties, weddings, birthdays and other events in the banquet hall, which can take up to 60 guests.

There is a TOP shop next to the Sili Hostel, as well as a bus stop. The center of Jelgava can be easily reached by bus in about 15 minutes. on the trip. The “Mīlmaņi” guesthouse is on the banks of the Gauja River in Ranka.  The venue is cosy for family celebrations and events for up to 50 participants.  The main building has five bedrooms.  A summer home is available for as many as 30 people, with a sauna, a black Sauna and, on the banks of the Gauja, a jacuzzi, as well as picnicking locations with grills.  Swimming and boating are available.

The recreation complex "Pazust Priedēs" is a newly created recreation area in the village of Bernāti - a 7-minute walk from the beach. Two holiday homes are available for recreation - "Saulrieta" and "Saullēta" houses and a separate bathhouse.
