Ļoļi Devil’s Footprint is situated in Mākoņkalns rural territory in a small forest lawn several meters from the
ditch, which is a borderline of the Rēzekne and Krāslava districts. It is about 1,9 m high truncated cone, the base
perimeter 1,8 m. According to the legend, the boulder had a curvy of the horseshoe prints. Now it’s shapeless. For the
first time the stone as a geological monument was established in the 1930s. It was in Andrupene rural territory.

Wooden slat weaving workshop is located in Jelgava county, Sesava parish. Craftswoman is making different type of wooden slat baskets and basketry from pine, linden, aspen and black alder. There are several different categories of baskets, available in different sizes - picknick baskets, baskets for berry and mushroom picking, trays, baskets for firewood, laundry baskets, onion / garlic baskets, baskets for kids, and diverse baskets for daily use. Various inscriptions and drawings are also made on the weavings. They also accept orders for individual orders. In the workshop it is possible to see the wooden slat basket weaving process as well as have the opportunity to learn to make your own basket. |

In Riga enjoy Old Town with narrow cobbled streets, Art Nouveau district, visit the Central market to catch a local spirit. Going out of Riga - visit Kemeri National Park, special for its sulphur springs. Walk Kemeri Bog Trail. Liepaja is vibrant city with significant military heritage now accessible for everyone, beautiful white sand beach. Special meal to try there "Liepajas mencins" (Liepaja Cod). Then there is a visit to goats farm and tasting of their produce. Walk along the steep banks of Jurkalne. Explore Ventspils with its many parks, Livonian Order Castle, promenade, breakwater, well maintained beach. The route goes to the place where the open sea meets the Gulf of Riga - Cape Kolka and then along the coast towards Riga. On the way visit fishermen at Engure. See their fish making process and try the fish . Visit historic sea and spa resort Jurmala with pretty 19th centuries villas, have a lunch at the local restaurant, specialist in potato meals. |

This is a “peripheral” island in the Bay of Finland, 9 km from the Dirhami port. The special fact about this island is that it offers fields of juniper, a rocky and grassy seashore that is around 2 km long, and limestone cliffs that are a few metres high along the northern and the eastern shores of the island. These are designated with the words Osmussaare pank.

This estate is surrounded by an ancient and geometric landscape. During the latter half of the 19th century, it had a landscape style with various elements of geometry. The park covers 4.2 ha and has ancient linden, maple, elm, oak and other decorative bushes, with more than 20 types of plants that have turned into wood. |

Preiļu Siers is the largest cheese manufacturer in Latvia and exports 90% of its output. There are three “Preilis” stores in the town (Daugavpils Street 66A, Tirgus laukums 5, Rēzeknes iela 15) where are the widest range of Preiļu Siers products. Three kind of tastings of cheese "Čedars" produced in Preiļi, as well as "Čedars" cheese ice cream and a movie about the company are offered by local home producers "Pampūkas" beach terrace cafe, located in the active part of the city - beach area of Preiļi Park (pre-registration by phone 25867735, runs from the second Sunday of May till the second Sunday of September). In Preiļi , next to A/S "Preiļu siers" factory (Daugavpils iela 75) is one of few monuments to cheese in the world – the only one of its kind in Latvia. There are only four monuments for cheese in the world, two of them located in France, and one in each - Canada and USA. Therefore Preili can safely be called the cheese capital of Latvia. |

Approximately 6 km to the south-west of Iecava is the home of the father of author Edvarts Virza (born Jēkabs Eduards Liekna, 1883-1940), Billītes. The author and his wife, Elza Stērste, moved to the house in 1901. Virza was one of Latvia's most outstanding 20th century authors, poets and prose writers, as well as publicist and translator. He wrote many poems at Billītes, and in 1933 he produced his masterpiece, "Straumēni," which depicts the life of a Latvian farmer. A museum dedicated to Virza is at the house today. It was opened by his children and grandchildren. Contact the museum in advance for a tour. |

The memorial to the day when people in the Baltic States joined hands in an unbroken chain stretching from Tallinn through Rīga and on to Vilnius on August 23, 1989, is at the 25th kilometre of the Rīga-Bauska highway, near the little Ķekaviņa River. |

This hill in the Tīreļpurvs swamp is an historical object of national importance – the only area in Latvia that is restricted for cultural and historical purposes. There is unique evidence here of World War I fortifications and the so-called Christmas Battle that was fought here.

The Miķeļbāka lighthouse was built in 1957 and is the highest one in Latvia. Standing 58 m tall, it can only be viewed from the outside. |

The residential building of the manor house was built in the 19th century. In 1932, so neglected manor house was bought by the Latvian press king A. Benjamiņš. Nowadays, the manor house is owned by the Benjamiņi family again and there is located a photo exposition of the private life and travels of A. Benjamiņš. |

National partisans commanded by Rihards Pārups were very active during World War II between Vietalva and Jaunkalsnava. The team was disbanded in 1946. The dugout is at a location that is hard to find and access. It is in the nature reserve of the Veseta Wetlands Swamp. The wood pathway that leads from the East is often hidden by reeds during the summer. During the fierce winter of 2010, the roof of the dugout collapsed, but local enthusiasts plan to reconstruct it. Alongside the dugout is a white cross inscribed with the names of the partisans who lost their lives here.

The museum offers information about local manufacturing traditions, as well as products from SIA Naukšēni – various oils (made of rapeseed and hempseed), ten non-alcoholic beverages (kvass, mineral water), as well as tastings of homemade wine. Some of the products can be purchased. |

A small and forested territory with sulphurous springs, among which the most popular one is the Ellīte sulphur spring. It has sulphurous water with a low level of minerals, and the water supposedly has medicinal properties. The area around the stream is well-appointed, and a pathway leads to it. The stream is considered to be the source of the Iecava River. The restricted area is there to protect biotopes and protected plants which are in the area.

The Iesalnieki-1 farm is in the Vietalva Parish in the Pļaviņas Administrative District. It grows rapeseed, barley, wheat and grasses on 180 ha of land. The farm is run by two brothers who manage more than 800 ha of land in all. |
