This is a “peripheral” island in the Bay of Finland, 9 km from the Dirhami port. The special fact about this island is that it offers fields of juniper, a rocky and grassy seashore that is around 2 km long, and limestone cliffs that are a few metres high along the northern and the eastern shores of the island. These are designated with the words Osmussaare pank.

Atrodas Grobiņas centrā, Dzērves laukuma malā. Pirmā baznīca Grobiņa bija celta jau ap 1560. g., bet nākamā – 1596. g. celtā iznīcināta 1659. g. zviedru iebrukuma laikā. Pēc Kurzemes un Zemgales hercoga Jēkaba Ketlera iniciatīvas 1664. g. tiek uzcelts jauns dievnams, ko atjauno 1892. gadā. Tas dedzis 2. pasaules kara laikā, bet vēlāk atkal atjaunots. Construction of the church began in 1830 thanks to money donated by nobleman Ludvigs Šabanskis.  The Baroque stone church is surrounded by a restored stone fence, and inside there are icons including "Heart of Jesus," "Christ's Suffering," and "St Joseph."  The church is not open to the public on a daily basis.

The name of the location translates to “Honey Castle,” and the owner has some 300 hives of bees. Honey that he has produced has won a number of prizes. He offers hogweed honey, honeyed local berries, and honey straws for children (the only place in Latvia where these are offered). You can tour the farm, taste ten types of honey, and purchase beekeeping products. “Extreme Beekeeping” is a process which will allow you to put on a beekeeper’s suit to learn about the hard-working insects up close. The owner also produces wax candles.

This is the most impressive and colourful set of cliffs along the Vidzeme coastline.  Waves have created the steep shore that is as much as 6 m high, with several hundred meters of red sandstone cliffs with narrow caves, niches, grottos and other formations.  The nearby Veczemu farm is where the Rīga Film Studio shot the films “Long Way into the Dunes” and “The Nest of the Old Fisherman.”

A comparatively large swamp to the North of the Zaļā dune, this is an important place for sulphurous waters, just as is the case with Zaļais swamp.  The swamp is cut in two by the 3.5 km Ķemeri-Antiņciems road, from which interesting landscapes can be seen.  The road is not appropriate for cars, however.  To the East of Raganu swamp is Lake Putnezers, which is difficult to access.  There is a small car park with an information stand on the shore of Lake Melnezers alongside the Ķemeri-Jaunķemeri road.  The historical and overgrown Old Ķemeri road can be used to get to the seashore from this location.
