The workshop is in a farm, and the weaver produces blankets, carpeting, floor pathways, tablecloths, pillows, woven baskets, trays and souvenirs, as well as folk costumes on commission. She will be happy to show you her weaving and wicker-work skills.

Located on the side of the Daugavpils-Krāslava (A6) road in Naujene, the museum features a replica of the room of a wealthy Latvian farmer with household objects from the 19th and 20th century.  Younger visitors will be interested in Latvia's only diorama, "Underwater World," which will introduce them to the inhabitants of the Daugava River.  An outdoor exhibition, "Daugava of the Heart," has information about the protected Curves of Daugava Nature Park and the protected Upper Daugava landscape region, as well as local cultural and historical values.  The museum offers creative workshops and educational programmes.  There is an apple orchard to the east of the museum.  On the opposite side of the road, is the Juzefova (Juzepova) Park, which once was a baronial estate owned by Duke Bogdan Shahno.  It no longer exists.  The park has pathways, relaxation areas and information stands about the history of the park and the most interesting trees that are found therein.  You will need at least one hour to walk through the park.

Here you can watch ponies, donkeys, dwarf sheep, dwarf goats, dwarf rabbits, dwarf pigs, a llama, chickens and other fowl. Children can take rides with a pony or donkey, and they can feed fish in the local pond. There is a playground, along with a picnic location, “Paradise for dwarves.”

St. Cross Honouring Roman Catholic Church of Malta (Rozentova) is national architectural monument. The church has a promiment „St. Mary Magdalene beside the Cross of Jesus” and three big altars. The wooden log building was constructed in 1780. It was sanctified in 1782.

The museum at Egļava has an exhibition about forestry in Latvia before and after World War II.  The exhibit features forestry tools and equipment, as well as textiles from the former Balvi District along with samples of ceramics and woodworking.  The former forest ranger house has rooms to provide accommodations to guests.

In terms of territory, it is the most impressive dune range in the Baltics. This is the only place in the Baltics, where one can enjoy open dune sands that are still active and, under the influence of wind, form the so-called eolian relief forms. Vannūzis (Bath) – A building of the five-building complex “Kurhaus”. During the times of the Neibāde resort, this small building used to be a bath place. In order for the guests of the resort to be able to take a dip in the sea water even in bad weather, barrels of water were delivered by horses to the bath place.

This is one of the largest areas of swampland in Latvia, lying between Lake Babīte and Olaine. Most of the area is still made up of peat. Relatively untouched is the northern part of the swamp, where there is a lovely set of swamp lakes, featuring landscapes of moss swamps. The heath is one of the few swamps in Latvia where the western-type and eastern-type swamp coexist. This is an important location for protected birds. A nature trail and viewing tower are to be installed at the heath in the near future.

This is one of few open air objects to honour the globally unique Baltic Way demonstration, during which several million residents of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia joined hands in an unbroken chain that stretched from Tallinn all the way to Vilnius.  The monument is at the former border crossing point at Unguriņi on the border between Latvia and Estonia, and it was installed on the 20th anniversary of the demonstration on August 23, 2009.  It was designed by the metal artist Andris Dukurs.

In Estonian, Luitemaa means ‘the land of dunes’. It is the seashore territory of the Gulf of Pärnu, 13 km between Vöiste and Häädemeeste with shallow waters, vast coastal meadows, the highest dune range in Estonia and the Tolkuse Mire (Tolkuse raba). The Tolkuse mire trail (~2.2 km) and watching tower are available for dune and mire sightseeing tours. Situated in Luitemaa Nature Reserve.
