Water mill that is used for grinding grains: coarse milling, pearling, and making groats. At the annual Sowing Festival and Harvest Festival, the exhibited steam-powered machine and threshing machine can also be seen in action. This is the only travertine processing workshop in Latvia. The rocks come from the nearby Vecsaule Parish, which is one of the few places where Latvian travertine can be extracted. This is one of the most ornate and beautiful tree farms in Latvia, with some 1,000 types and forms of plants. The owner will take you on a tour, and you can purchase coniferous trees, decorative bushes, plants for fencing, ivies, and outstanding grafted trees and bushes in containers (1-200 litres). A colourful arboretum is also on offer, along with garden consultations. This can be used as a venue for events and photo sessions. |

Ms Medne is famous for her cheeses, which have specific tastes at the pan-Latvian level. She offers information about cheese making an offers treats to visitors, producing Summer Solstice cheese, sweet cheese with raisins, cheese with sunflower seeds, and alder-smoked cheese. She also bakes honey cakes and biscuit cakes. You can purchase cheese, as well. |

The farm grows grains and raps, and organises informational seminars and tours for children and adults. There is a collection of antique tools and dairy processing equipment which can be put to use. An attraction park is available to one and all.

The Gardening Institute is the leading scholarly centre for fruit and vegetable research in Latvia. The institute specialises in selection and introduction of plant cultivars that are suitable for cultivation under the agro-climatic conditions in the Baltic countries, have high nutrition value and are rich in fibre content. |

This zoo features sheep, goats, large Chinese pigs, rabbits, various exotic animals and birds. Children love contacts with the various animals, particularly the Japanese macaque which is called Nilsons. The farm has been nominated as a family-friendly place. |

This is a farm which popularises Latvian lives, organises traditional rituals, and provides guests with tasty country foods such as porridge, dumplings, pierogi and pastries made of grain and roughly ground flour that are produced at the farm itself. Here you can watch ponies, donkeys, dwarf sheep, dwarf goats, dwarf rabbits, dwarf pigs, a llama, chickens and other fowl. Children can take rides with a pony or donkey, and they can feed fish in the local pond. There is a playground, along with a picnic location, “Paradise for dwarves.” |

The Eleja creamery offers tastings of cheeses from the farm that is run by the Mālkalns family (apply in advance for the tastings!). There are seven kinds of cheeses, including smoked and matured cheeses. There is French cheese that has been prepared in partnership with a French cheese-making specialist, M Eribert. Blūdži is in the Sesava Parish, 7 km from Eleja, and welcomes small groups. The farm bakes bread, processes vegetables (tomato juice) and prepares other country goodies. |

The Dobele Crafts House is to the East of Market Square at Baznīcas Street 8 in Dobele. Enthusiasts use it to preserve ancient traditions from the Zemgale region. Workshops to teach crafts are organised here five days a week. |
