Liela meža masīva vidū gleznainās Būkas (Būka) upes krastos starp kokiem ieslēpies teiksmainais Vaišnoriškes ciems. Šis ir viens no skaistākajiem nacionālā parka etnogrāfiskajiem ciemiem. Vaišnoriške kā apdzīvota vieta sākusi veidoties 1756. g., kad šeit sena vēsturiska ceļa malā darbojies krogs. Pirmā viensēta ciematā ir zināma no 1830. g. Šodien redzamā apbūve ir tapusi g.k. 20. gs. sākumā. Ciems ir palicis cilvēku atmiņās ar liepu medu, jo meža velšu vākšana un biškopība bija viena no galvenajām šejieniešu nodarbēm. Tagad ciemā ir piecas sētas. No Vaišnoriškes var uzsākt laivu braucienu pa seklo un dzidro Būku.

Am ersten Tag besuchen Sie einen Hof, der auf Ziegenzucht spezialisiert ist und exclusive Ziegenkäse macht, sowie einen Hof, auf dem schon von einigen Generationen Hanf angebaut wird, und einen Beeren- und Obstzüchter und Neunaugenfischer. Am nächsten Tag erleben Sie eine Meisterklasse mit bekannten Chefköchen in den Restaurants von Riga, wo die vorher erwähnten Zutaten für die Vorbereitung von erstklassigen Gerichten verwendet werden.

Dieses Gebiet befindet sich im Süden des Flusses Irbe und ist einzigartig mit mehr oder weniger unberührten Wäldern und Dünen. Die Irbe hat ein System alter Nebenflüsse. Der Dižpurvs – Sumpf liegt parallel zur Küste. Die Irbe ist in den letzten Jahren bei Wassersportlern beliebt geworden, jedoch ist die touristische Infrastruktur noch ungenügend entwickelt.

Sehen werden Sie den Naturpark Engure und die bewachsenen Wiesen am Meeresufer, die geeignete Orte zur Vogelbeobachtung sind. Unterwegs können Sie bei lokalen Fischern einkehren, um Räucherfisch zu kaufen und über die Fischereitradition in Lettland zu erfahren. Danach führt die Route durch Lettlands beliebtesten Ostsee-Kurort Jūrmala. Auch werden Sie Zeit für die Besichtigung der Hauptstadt Rīga haben. Der zweite Teil der Route führt durch die Meeresküste von Vidzeme von Saulkrasti bis Svētciems. Landschaftlich und in Bezug auf die Aussichten ist es der facettenreichste Abschnitt des Baltischen Küstenwanderwegs. The Liv Coastline involves a series of shoreline villages from Ovīši to Ģipka along the shores of the Baltic Sea and the Bay of Rīga.  Like Latvians, Livs are an indigenous population in Latvia, with ancestors who lived here at least 5,000 years ago.  They populated extensive parts of Kurzeme and Vidzeme, and the area in which they lived the longest was Northern Kurzeme, on the shores of the Baltic Sea.

Today visitors to the Liv Coastline mill meet real Liv fishermen, feel the aroma of smoked fish, enjoy traditional dishes, look at diverse ancient fences, learn about the reticent charm of the local landscape, enjoy the place where two seas, birds and people meet at Cape Kolka, hear the Liv dialect of the Latvian language, see rounded hillocks and swampy areas, visit the Šlītere lighthouse, and see the green-white-blue Liv flag, red bilberries, bird migration routes and blue cows.  The oldest evidence of the life of Livs can be found in the Liv centres.  The Liv language and culture are still alive in place names, handicrafts, folk costumes, and the world view and lifestyle of people who live in the area.  The Liv language and cultural values are part of Latvia's national cultural heritage, and traditional Liv culture is part of the Latvian Canon of Culture.

One of the rare places (see also Rucavas ivju audze) in Latvia where two rare and protected wild tree species grow - yew-tree and Baltic ivy. Territory is not marked on site with information signs or stands. Territory is not suitable for visitors as visitor without environmental knowledge will see “regular” forest. On the East side of the restricted area is located extending low wall – former narrow gauge railway (600 mm, length 41 km) line Dulbeni – Rucava. Railway was built by German military forces with the goal – to export wood.

This is for people who enjoy forests, wildlife, local traditions and has a specific interest in the different species of funghi. Everyone could try their hand at mushrooming, identification and by the end of the day together with guide sort out the collected mushrooms. The tour passes several national parks and late back villages. The group will also visit to one of shitake mushroom growers for comparison reasons.

The Kubalu school was opened in 1843, and for 28 years it was the only school for the children of peasants at the Dundaga Estate.  This is the oldest log schoolhouse in Latvia, with old benches, blackboards, ink and pens inside.  There are examples of texts written by schoolchildren in the 19th century.  There can be a few lessons that are learned at such an old school.  In the attic is an exhibition featuring the teacher and writer E. Dinsbergs, and they speak to the experiences of the long life of that man.  A restored ancillary building offers an exhibition about the history of the school, along with a collection of ethnographic objects.  Trails on the estate mark out the way in which the land was once used.  Visitors are welcome to examine the landscape and rest a bit, as well.
