A brief description of the route
The Allaži nature trails make up around 50 km of motorised tour routes and 20 km of bicycle touring routes. There are also two hiking trails that were established in 2001. Tourists can view the most interesting nature and cultural monuments in the region, including several that are under special environmental protection. The routes can be combined so that various types of tourism-related exercise can be enjoyed. The bicycle route covers eight points of interest, including the karsta kritenes at Ezernieki and the streams of Mežmuiža or Kaļķugrava. There are signs, information stands and various published materials to help the first-time tourist.

Points of interest
The Allaži Lutheran Church: The church is of an unusual appearance, and it was built in 1927 of travertine that is abundant in the region. During Soviet times, the church was a restaurant and then a warehouse.  Now it is again used for its original purpose.
The Ezernieki karst fields: This is one of Latvia’s two largest and most important karst fields, with deep natural holes and two lakes in the largest of those holes - Vecezers and Linezers. Linezers is an unusual lake in that sometimes all of its water flows underground, leaving behind a dry hole that is 9 metres deep. The Ezernieki nature trail has been established so that people can look at these phenomena.
The Černausku rock: This is the largest rock in the Rīga District, 5.2 metres long, 4.6 metres wide and 1.7 metres high.  The rock was reputedly used for pagan sacrifices in ancient times.
The streams of Mežmuiža: Here is a set of rapid streams which flow together into a short stream with rapids.  It flows into the pond of the local windmill. The Kaļķugrava nature trail is there to view the streams.
