Holiday complex and holiday houses in Vidzeme near Bērzkrogs. "BrīvKalni" is a suitable place for celebrations, accommodation or rest. The “Rozītes” rose garden is found in the Sēme Parish in Kurzeme, and it covers a bit less than 3 hectares.  There are more than 3,000 rose plants in the garden with 300 different varieties.  There are also perennials and rare trees in the garden.  Visitors will enjoy three lovely ponds which have fish in them, but they are meant more for beauty and relaxation.  You can watch the fish from the terrace, walk across a flower island, and go to our amphitheatre to listen to relaxing music.  On a hot summer day, visit the “water rock” to hear the bubbling sound of the surrounding water.  Daila and Bruno Trubiņš will be happy to give you a tour of the garden and tell you all about the plants and how to care for them.  You can purchase rose and perennial plants.  Each June we organise a Rose Festival with an extensive programme for adults and children alike.  Visitors are welcome to taste rose jam and drinks made of rose petals.   We can host seminars, concerts, weddings and photo sessions.  The garden is open from May until the end of September, and we particularly welcome visitors when the flowers are in full bloom.  Ring 2646-9604 to arrange for your visit in advance, please.

Вкусить пищу можно в старинном Рыцарском обеденном зале под сводчатыми потолками, при свечах и звуки средневековой музыки. Без столовых приборов или деревянными ложками можно отведать средневековые угощения во вкусе барона, монаха или слуг.

Латышская кухня: Чечевичный суп с мясными фрикадельками, пивной суп, яблочный суп с изюмом, толченый горох с коноплей, тминная тушенка („шморис”) в горшочке, лисички в сметанном соусе, колбаски из дичи с капустой, рулька (жареная свиная голень), кровяная колбаса, жареная нога утки с брусничные соусом, ручейная форель, домашний творог с клубникой, сливовый кисель с взбитыми сливками.

Особое блюдо: «Стена замка со стражей» - обжаренные в пиве свиные ребрышки с тушеной капустой.

Первое хозяйство, которое начало выращивать грибы шиитаке в Латвии. Предлагают познавательную экскурсию, делятся советами и угощают «Императорским грибным» соусом или супом. Интересующиеся могут заказать и другие блюда, в состав которых входят грибы шиитаке, а также купить грибы в сушеном виде или в виде грибного порошка. Хозяин готовит напиток «Поншо», который попробовать в Латвии можно только в «Гарикас».

The watermill of the Krape Estate is found on the Lobe River in the Ogre Administrative District.  Owners offer tours of the mill so that you can learn how the old mill operates.  You can stroll along the banks of the river or learn about plants in the meadow.  There are places for tenting, but the main operation here is the production of elixirs from meadow plants, production of soy wax candles, production of etheric oils and hydrolats, a well as growing trout and African catfish that can be viewed during the season.  A new thing is SPA services with floating, a halotherapy salt beach and an aromatherapy steam system.

Floating is a unique way to boost your health.  You’ll be dipped into a warm magnesium salt solution, which will allow your body to relax completely in physical, emotional and intellectual terms.  The solution (MgSO4) is very concentrated, and it has a temperature of +37C, which is body temperature.  That’s what makes the procedure so relaxing.  Your body will not sink because of the concentration of salt, and you will float above it like bobber.  You will relax all of your tendons and possibly compressed nerves.  Your limbs will “oil up.”  Your body will receive a very necessary dose of magnesium through your skin.

You can also take part in baking KrapesKrepes crepes – home baked crepes made of milk from one neighbouring homestead and eggs from another neighbouring homestead.  You can also prepare a meal on a Himalayan salt board

Осмотр пивоварни дополняет дегустация живого пива и рассказы о традиционно праздничном латышском напитке. Рядом с пивоварней открыта лавка для торговли живым пивом, домашними лакомствами и памятными вещицами.

Корчма «Пивная кухня Валмиермуйжи» популяризируют культуру наслаждения пива в Латвии. В приготовлении блюд используют пиво как составную часть блюда. Современно в латышской манере из домашнего урожая готовят еду и закуски к пиву. Летом работает открытое кафе. Объединяют традиции с современным исполнением.

Латышская кухня: Копчености из свинины, филе судака из озера Буртниеку, пюре из зеленого горошка. В качестве гарнира - брусника, айва, тыквы, березовый сок и соус из боровиков.

Особое блюдо: Выдержанный кусок свинины в зимнем нефильтрованном пиве.
