Heutzutage wird der Posten der Küstengrenzwache nicht genutzt. Im Territorium sind noch Denkmal, Grenzpfahl und ehemalige WCs mit einem Papierhälter aus Holz erhalten geblieben. Eine gute Aussicht auf den Posten der Grenzwache hat man vom südlich gelegenen Erdwall aus.

The farm "Kronīši" is located in Viļķenes Parish, Limbažu County. The farm grows organic vegetables that are processed into various home preserves. Teas are produced from plants collected from organic meadows, jams, preserves, syrups and juices are also on offer. Fruits and berries are collected from the garden itself, as well as from local farmers and the nearby Rūstuži and Blome marshes. The farm welcomes tourists and exchange groups with prior application. For family events, incl. a teahouse is available for children's parties, creative workshops and other activities. Offers tours with Soviet-era cars and retro cars. |

Ja Rušona ezeru iepazīstiet ar laivu, tad var apmeklēt Lielo salu (ezera rietumdaļā),kur (augstākajā vietā) ir jāuzmeklē ap 1,2 m augstais akmens. Konstatēts, ka tā apkārtnē un uz virsmas kurināta uguns. Atrastas arī senlietas. Nostāsti vēsta, ka akmens virsmā bijušas iekaltas zīmes (nav saskatāmas) un pie tā upurēti jēri. Tikai nedodieties ezerā, ja ir vai gaidāms stiprs vējš! Rušona ezera salas ir dabas liegums. |

Ja mērķis ir savākt pilnvērtīgu etnogrāfisko ciemu fotokolekciju, ir jāapskata Strazdi (no lietuviešu valodas strazdai tulkojumā nozīmē strazds), kas ir pavisam neliela apdzīvota vieta Balošas (Baluošas) ezera ziemeļu krastā. Strazdi pirmoreiz rakstos minēti 1783. g. un ciema nosaukums cēlies no kādas mežziņu dzimtas uzvārda. |

The museum at Egļava has an exhibition about forestry in Latvia before and after World War II. The exhibit features forestry tools and equipment, as well as textiles from the former Balvi District along with samples of ceramics and woodworking. The former forest ranger house has rooms to provide accommodations to guests. |

The Lejas Kleperi farm straddles the boundary between the Cēsis and Valka Districts. The farm is 119.4 hectares large, with 86.1 hectares of forestland. The farm’s work is centred on forestry. In 1992, a private museum of farming and forestry equipment was set up in one of the residential buildings. The museum’s collection is constantly being updated.

In „Silkalni” können Besucher die verschiedenen auf Wiesen, Feldern und im Garten, Wald und Sumpf, Hof oder Pflanzbeet wachsenden Heilkräuter, deren Nutzung zur Gesundheitsunterstützung kennenlernen. Während der Führung zeigt die Wirtin die Heilkräuter, die Geheimnisse der Zucht, Sammlung, Trocknung und Teemischung sowie die Zubereitung von Sirupen. Die Besucher können verschiedene Heilkräutertees kosten und kaufen. Auf besonderen Wunsch kann der Wirt Interessenten über Naturenergien – Erdstrahlen und die Kraft der Steine erzählen und eine Führung machen. |

Is an ancient Courlandian castle hill and is found in the very centre of Alsunga. It was named in 1659 when General Berg from Kurzeme put cannons on it to attack Swedish forces that had fortified themselves in the Alsunga castle. The hill is 8 to 10 metres high and 24 x 54 metres wide, offering a lovely view of the St Michael Roman Catholic Church, as well as the Alsunga windmill lake that is alongside it. There is a distinct terrace around the hill, and it once was the foundation of wooden defensive structures. On the other side of the street, to the West of the castle hill, is a cemetery with fire graves of Courlandians that date back to the 11th to 13th century. Archaeologists examined the area during the middle part of the last century. The Suiti celebrate Easter and other holidays on the hill. |

Between Saunags and Vaide on the road to Kolka, you will see an area on the left (South) side of the road where there was a massive forest fire in 1992 which burned approximately 3,300 hectares of forest. Biologists use the area to study the regeneration of the forest. There were extensive and destructive fires here during the early 20th century, as well. Swedish scientists say that there have been at least 15 fires in the forests of Šlītere over the last several centuries. The burned area is in a nature reserve and can only be viewed from the road. |
