The first church was here in the early 18^th century, followed by the second and third one (1847-1848), and then the one that is there now. The church was damaged during World War I and then during the Soviet era, when wool was stored there between 1969 and 1993. In the 1990s, the building was in terrible shape, but it is gradually recovering its appearance. Between 1826 and 1856, the sexton and organist at the church was the Latvian poet and translator Ansis Līventāls (1803-1878). His grave and monument are alongside the church. At the same place are the graves of German and Russian soldiers who died during World War I, as well as the grave monument of the pastor and writer Jacob Florentin Lundberg (1782-1858).

In Riga enjoy Old Town with narrow cobbled streets, Art Nouveau district, visit the Central market to catch a local spirit. Going out of Riga - visit Kemeri National Park, special for its sulphur springs. Walk Kemeri Bog Trail. Enjoy recreation centre at the lake Valgums - Bare Foot Trail, Labirintus, swimming in the lake, spa treatments and excellent restaurant. Then the route goes to the Pure Chocolate Museum and turns to the ancient Abava Valley where grapes were grown from 16th century. A little part of the historic Wine Hill is there but new gardens and wineries are developed into recent years. Visit Pedvale Open-Air Art Space and then picturesque Kuldiga with well preserved wooden architecture. At country house in Skrunda see how shitake mushrooms are grown and try some meal from them. Liepaja is vibrant city with significant military heritage now accessible for everyone, beautiful white sand beach. Special meal to try there "Liepajas mencins" (Liepaja Cod). Then there is a visit to goats farm and tasting of their produce. Walk along the steep banks of Jurkalne. Explore Ventspils with its many parks, Livonian Order Castle, promenade, breakwater, well maintained beach. The route goes to the place where the open sea meets the Gulf of Riga - Cape Kolka and then along the coast towards Riga. On the way visit fishermen at Engure. See their fish making process and try the fish . Visit historic sea and spa resort Jurmala with pretty 19th centuries villas, have a lunch at the local restaurant, specialist in potato meals.

Ööbiku herb farm is located in an ecologically clean area and is engaged in the cultivation and further processing of herbs, berries and vegetables using organic methods. It also dries vegetables, fruits and berries.

A school that was moved from Žocene was here during the 1850s, and it is alongside the Ģipka church.  In 1938, a company from Dundaga opened a shop here to sell goods of basic necessity. (Source: Roja TIC)

There is a memorial to the victims of World War I on the side of the Klapkalnciems-Tukums road.

The manor’s castle was built in the middle of the 18th century (belonging to the noble kin of baron Medem) as a huntsmen castle. Later, in the 19th century, it was rebuilt by adding a second floor. The kitchen was situated in the vaulted basements of the castle and when the food was ready, it was brought upstairs in the elevator. The gantry entrance of the castle (late baroque) and marble buttons above it picturing the coat of amrs of the union of Medem and Keizerling noble kins, is one of the most valuable example of arts monuments of the 18th century. To this day there are various  outhouses preserved- a  threshing barn, a granary and a smithy, as well as the park. In front of the castle one can see a magnificent oak, which was supposedly planted by K.Ulmanis. From 1837 the manor’s castle has also served as a place for Vilce primary school. 

Маршрут проходит по территории природного парка «Излучины Даугавы». Парк создан с целью сохранения уникальных ландшафтов древней долины Даугавы, биологического многообразия и богатейшего культурно-исторического наследия. Наибольшую высоту берега реки достигают в т.н. «Воротах Даугавы», где возвышаются Верверский и Слутишкский обрывы. С Приедайнской смотровой вышки открывается вид на древнюю долины Даугавы с высоты птичьего полета. В 2015 году в Васаргелишках и на горе Лаздукалнс были построены новые смотровые вышки. 
Самые красивые пейзажи, образовавшиеся в результате взаимодействия природы и человека, можно наблюдать в окрестностях Краславы, Ужинкалнса, Слутишков, Элерне и Юзефова.
Возле Адамова, Динабургского городища и в Слутишках созданы природные познавательные тропы. Нет такого второго места в Латвии как излучины Даугавы!  Один отдельный день можно посвятить осмотру Краславы. На упомянутом участке доступны стоянки для водных туристов.

Viena no ciema augstākajām būvēm. Koka vējdzirnavas cēla 1930. g. un ar vēja palīdzību darbināja septiņus gadus (vēlāk ar elektromotoru). Pie dzirnavām atrodas Jūrmalciema tūrisma informācijas punkts, stends un atpūtas vieta. Turpat redzami veco, zvejnieku pamesto liellaivu koka korpusi.
