Das Restaurant befindet sich am Rande einer Steilküste und bietet während des Sonnenuntergangs von seiner Sommerterrasse eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Ostsee. Das Restaurant arbeitet mit Fischern zusammen.

Lettische Küche: Kalte Suppe, Fischsuppe, Graupengrütze, graue Erbsen mit Speck und Zwiebeln, Hering mit Kartoffeln und Quark, geschichtetes Roggenbrot-Dessert, dünne Pfannkuchen mit Marmelade, Sorbet aus Rhabarbern oder Sanddornbeeren.

Das besondere Gericht: Fischgerichte aus Wemgallen, Zandern, Barschen, Flundern, Lachsen und Strömlingen.

Pirts un viesu nams atrodas 70 km attālumā no Rīgas, Ogres novada Ķeipenē. Saimniece piedāvā dažādus pirts rituālus - dzimšanas dienas, dāmu, terapeitisko pirts rituālu, u.c.; masāžas; aromdiagnostiku un terapiju. The “Pie Daugavas” glamping site is on land which has been passed down from generation to generation on the banks of the Daugava River and on the boundary between Jaunjelgava and Sērene.

There are eight furnished glamping tents to rest in comfort on the banks of the river.  The tents are 5m wide and 3m high, with carpeting to soothe your feet, a comfortable mattress that will ensure comfort for your back, as well as an easy chair into which you can sink with a book in hand.  Electricity and WIFI will keep you linked to the outer world.

You can reserve a Latvian-made jacuzzi with a wood-fired internal stove and installed hydro-massage and LED lighting.

A spherical cupola tent with 65 m2 is also available.  A new aspect at the tent in the summer of 2023 was a series of concerts on the banks of the Daugava.

Our Story  
The fruit farm was established in 2009 with the aim of creating an orchard of cider apple varieties for the owner’s enjoyment and producing cider. Since 2021, they have been producing, testing, and exploring various cider flavours.

Apples 
The farm boasts the largest organic apple orchard in Latvia, covering nearly 40 hectares, where various apple varieties are grown, including 'Monta', 'Dace', 'Auksis', 'Gita', 'Edīte', and other popular varieties. The orchard also features several apple varieties specifically for cider production. They collaborate with The Horticultural and Experimental Station at Pūre and the Horticulture Institute at Dobele.

Ciders  
The Pienjāņi cider brand Jēpis is the only organically certified cider in Latvia. They also offer fresh apples and apple juice under the Jēpis label.

For Visitors  
The cidery welcomes experience exchange groups by prior arrangement.

Der Hof "Upenite" befindet sich am südlichen Ufer des Sees Cirisa ezers. Ein ausgezeichneter Bio-Hof, auf dem lettgallische Traditionen gepflegt, Milchprodukte (auch Käse) hergestellt, einheimische Kulturpflanzen (diese kann man auch erwerben) angebaut und die lettgallische Rauchsauna angeboten werden, in der als Saunameister die Wirte arbeiten. Meisterkurse im Backen von Torten organisiert.

Lettische Küche: Bauernsuppe (Fleischbrühe mit Grützen), gefüllte Kartoffelpfannkuchen Gulbešnīki, Kartoffelwürste (geriebene unreife Kartoffeln mit gebratenem Schweinfleisch und Zwiebeln), schwarze Johannisbeeren mit Schlagsahne, Kümmelstangen, Kräutertees, Quark mit Sauerrahm, Pfannkuchen aus Sauermilch.

Das besondere Gericht: Im Ofen gebackener Karpfen oder gebackene Schleie aus dem eigenen Teich.

If you are looking for an unusual landscape and longing for silence, head to one of Latvia’s bogs. While in some European countries natural bogs have almost disappeared, you will be able to enjoy walks full of silence in pristine bogs in Latvia. No cars, people, bells and whistles surrounding you. It is the best antidepressant in the world and a great place to recharge.

Bogshoes are like snowshoes – except you wear them in bogs when there is no snow. Bogshoes have been used to walk on wetlands throughout the times. These footwear allow us access to the places where it is hard or even impossible to reach by foot.
What makes it especially great is that bogshoeing does not require any special knowledge or skills. It is simple and suitable for people of all ages who can move around by foot.

DabaLaba is in one of the places in Latvia that has the very lowest population density per square kilometre.  There are huge forests around our venue with lots of animals, clean rivers and lovely forest lakes.

DabaLaba launched operations in 2010 by renting boats.  The next season we set up an archery range and started to offer guided tours of the surrounding environment – hikes, safari trips down the forest roads of the “Ance Swamps and Forests” restricted area, interesting, merry and lovely moments outdoors, hunting with your camera, as well as special trips for schoolchildren.

Boats and SUP boards can be rented in Irbe, Rinda, Stende, Engure and Lonaste (or elsewhere on the basis of a separate agreement).

Since August 2018, DabaLaba has offered the restaurant #Mežā during the summer months.  It is in the centre of the forest and offers pure, tasty and healthy dishes made of local ingredients and no preservatives or additives.  The menu has dishes for vegetarians and vegans, as well as dishes with no gluten and no lactose.

We also have a country sauna where two people can spend the night after taking their sauna.

The opening of the folk tradition season in lively Alsunga!  Stay at the centre of the administrative district of the noble suiti people, with glamping available at Eglenieki.  Spend the night in a tent that is out in nature and just 15 km from the sea.  The location is sufficiently remote to enjoy the presence of the environment.  The glamping offers what’s necessary to spend the night so close to nature.  A coffee machine, a grill, kitchen appliances and, particularly, a comfortable bed for two … just like at home!

Guests at Eglenieki are welcome to visit the owner’s teahouse, Sapņotava, where the ceremonies of Latvian tea drinking can be enjoyed.  You’ll learn about the medicinal characteristics of teas and make friends with the local community of friends.

Order breakfast and dinner, and you’ll be able to rid yourself from the hurries of your everyday life.

The Berghof Milk Estate with saunas. The weekend sauna at the estate offers a country sauna and the holiest type of traditional sauna – the black rock sauna. This is a ritual which takes several hours, with handmade switches, massages, scrubs, rinsing and herbal teas from Sieksāte. The mansion of the estate has a wet sauna, a steam sauna, a basin with a stream and a fireplace. The Rožu Saloon off ers delicious dining, and the Milk Spa allows you to relax in milk baths. Das Wirtshaus befindet sich am Mühlensee im Park des Schlosses von Birini und bietet eine schöne Aussicht aus seiner Sommerterrasse. Es ist in dem ehemaligen Gebäude der Mühle eingerichtet, wo die Gegenstände der alten Zeiten erhalten worden sind.
