No 7. līdz 9. februārim Starptautiskajā izstāžu centrā Ķīpsalā notiks 21. starptautiskā tūrisma izstāde-gadatirgus "Balttour 2014”, kas aicinās izmēģināt jaunās tūrisma sezonas labākos un izdevīgākos piedāvājumus Latvijā, Baltijā un visā pasaulē!
On 6–8 February 2014, Riga will host the "Balttour" forum – the opening event of the leading travel trade fair in the Baltics, "Balttour 2014" – which will be attended by more than 350 tourism professionals from more than 15 European and Central Asian countries.
On this tour you will see 2 charming Baltic capitals - Riga and Tallinn with their compact Old Towns, medieval architecture, heritage and rich cultural life. Snow, laterns and winter decorations makes those cities more romantic than usual. Your spa hotels are located in the very centre of the cities. After walking into old towns, you could warm up in saunas, pools and have calming spa treatments. Tour starts in Riga and comfortable coach takes you to Tallinn. Mēs, Latvieši, esam lieli kartupeļu ēdāji un kāpēc gan nenosvinēt kartupeļu ražas laiku? „Lauku Ceļotājs” un Kartupeļu audzētāju un pārstrādātāju savienība, kopā ar Kalnciema kvartālu 21. septembrī rīko Kartupeļu festivālu!
„Lauku ceļotāja” informācijas telts darbosies kā lauku vēstniecība. Te varēs uzzināt, kur šoruden doties pēc visdažādākajiem lauku labumiem – no kartupeļiem līdz vīnogām. Kalnciema ielas tirdziņā jau no desmitiem rītā rosīsies tirgotāji. Varēs pirkt visgaršīgākos kartupeļus tieši no audzētājiem, dažādus no kartupeļiem gatavotus gardumus un izstrādājumus. Pasākumu iedziedās folkloras kopa „Putni”, bet vēlāk apdziedāšanās mākslu demonstrēs arī Rucavas sievas. Pēc tam uz skatuves kāps kartupeļu audzētāji un dalīsies kartupeļu gudrībās – kādas šķirnes vislabāk der kraukšķīgām kartupeļu pankūkām, kādas ir visražīgākās un pieprasītākās, ko stādīt un ko pirkt.
