We invite you to the Jūrtaka Spring Hike on May 24: Apšuciems – Engure

At the end of the hike in Engure, participants will be welcomed with a warm campfire soup and the opportunity to learn more about how the Latvian Hiking Club works — and how to join it! This is the first community of its kind in Latvia, where volunteers are actively involved in maintaining long-distance hiking trails. So far, the Latvia Hiking Club volunteers have renewed the Mežtaka trail markings in several sections and carried out clean-up work along the route.

Each participant will receive a special badge as a symbol of being part of the Jūrtaka hiking fan crew, as well as a personal map — “My Hiking Map” — where you can mark the Jūrtaka and Mežtaka sections you've completed, including the date, distance, difficulty, and any other personal notes.

Schedule:
10:00–11:00 – Gathering and registration at Villa Anna in Apšuciems
11:00 – Hike begins
~14:00 – Finish in Engure and a shared meal by the sea
