Ein ehemaliges Fischerdorf am Ufer des Kurischen Haffs. Aufgrund der Wanderdünen hat seinen Standort mehrmals seit dem Anfang des 19.Jh. geändert. Holzbebauung mit einheitlichem Stil und Traditionen.

The White Dune is one of the landmarks of Saulkrasti, on the Vidzeme gulf coast. The dune offers a splendid view of the sea, the mouth of the Inčupe River and the vast beach. The White Dune formed as the wind drove beach sand over the clay silt of Baltic Ice Lake. Its white 18 meters high sand outcrop once helped local fishermen find their way home. The dune got its name from its white, hardened layers of sand which look like sandstone.
In White Dune are set up following Nature Design objects: "Entrance gates" which symbolizes White Dune and its fragility. On the wall of this object an information about White Dune are exposed. "Frīda the Hedgehog" and "Fredis the Rabbit"- both objects invite people to be polite when visiting nature sites and not to throw rubbish on the ground as well as to be quiet in the forest. "The bug trail" which helps to understand that humans are not the only one creatures in the nature. "Listening device" which is made in the form of trumpet and helps to listen into the sounds of sea and wind. The approximately 4 kilometers long Sunset Trail winds from the White Dune to the center of Saulkrasti.

The craftswomen produce clay dishes, vases, candlesticks, chandeliers, garden ceramics and small objects. Clay dishes with wooden handles are interesting. The women will offer you a tour of their workshop, a chance to see them at work or to try out your own skills at the potter’s wheel, as well as to purchase objects which have already been manufactured.

The Slocene River flows through Lake Valgums and Lake Mazezers before flowing into the western part of Lake Kaņieris.  It is part of a branched and swampy delta in which there are seasonal restrictions aimed at protecting birds.  The wetlands which are alongside the river are difficult to access in many places.  Before the Starpiņupīte was dug between Lake Kaņieris and the Bay of Rīga (the water level is regulated with sluices), the water from the river flowed along what is now the Vecslocene River all the way to Sloka, where it ended at the Lielupe River.  The Vecslocene can be used by canoe boats only when the water level is high and then from the Old Ķemeri road to the place where the river enters the Lielupe.  Between Milzkalne and Lake Valgums, the river is not navigable because of many fallen trees.  During the springtime, the estuary of the Starpiņupīte is a good place for bird watching.

Siers tiek gatavots no svaiga piena, rūpīgi kontrolējot katru soli – no slaukšanas līdz nogatavināšanai. Katrs siers top ar rokām, ļaujot pienam saglabāt savu dabisko raksturu un pārtapt izteiksmīgā, niansētā garšā.

Svaigie sieri tiek gatavoti pēc vienkāršām, paaudzēs mantotām metodēm, savukārt puscietie un cietie sieri top, iedvesmojoties no senām itāļu un pat Senās Romas laiku receptēm, piešķirot tiem savu raksturu un garšu.

Iespējams iepazīt kazu saimniecību un siera tapšanas stāstu no pirmavota. Sezonā no aprīļa līdz oktobrim var piedalīties degustācijās, nogaršojot dažādus kazas piena sierus un citus saimniecībā radītos produktus. Apmeklētāji var satikt kaziņas un kazlēnus, uzzināt vairāk par to ikdienu, dzirdēt saimniecības stāstus un kuriozus, kā arī nesteidzīgi izbaudīt lauku vidi. Mazākajiem viesiem pieejams rotaļu laukums.

Tiek piedāvātas arī meistarklases nelielām grupām – no kazas pupa līdz galdam, ļaujot izsekot visam siera, sviesta, biezpiena tapšanas ceļam.

The owner of this guesthouse is a homeopath and phytotherapist who grows ecological medicinal plants.  She offers educational programmes for adults and children, as well as a large library of books about health issues.  All visitors are welcome to enjoy medicinal plant baths, herbal teas, colour therapy, aroma therapy, and camps that offer a chance to pick medicinal plants to produce healthy nutrition.  The sauna and healing facility offers health promotion and beauty procedures.

Tour groups with at least ten people can enjoy tastings of various homemade wines (23 types in all) that are made of fruits and berries – three types of wine each time. The owner will tell you about winemaking technologies and ways to drink and enjoy wine.

Offering – a beach created in the quarry as well as the relaxation zone. 2 volleyball playgrounds, swings, trampolines, inflatable attractions. For the youngest kids – water joys in a specially constructed water „eyecup”. In a separated quarry you are offered to fish -  trouts, carps, brook trouts, sheatfish. It is possible for you to cook fish, fry, make fish soup. In this case, we offer you all the necessary things for cooking. Fishing takes place all year round.

This lime swamp of grasses is in an area among dunes which floods from time to time, and it is an important location for many protected plants. The swamp is easily surveyed from the forested dunes which are on the south-eastern side of the swamp.
