Brantu manor is located in Smiltene county, Brantu parish. The manor was built in the 19th century, currently it is managed by Ilze Briede, who is a well-known bread baker in Latvia, and Nauris Zutis - the owner of "Pirts skola" ("Sauna school"). |

The birthplace of Latvia’s first prime minister and, later, president, Kārlis Ulmanis (1877-1942) was turned into a museum in 1993. The homestead has undergone unbelievable transformation during the past two decades. The landscape has been cleaned up, and buildings that were lost or were in poor shape have been rebuilt. There are a house, an ancillary building, a cattle shed and barn and a granary. The exhibition focuses on the life of Ulmanis, featuring an impressive collection of agricultural equipment and instruments, including Latvia’s largest wooden butter churn. |

Tourists can learn about the history of the estate and the brewing of beer, beginning with raw materials and ending with finished products. The visit is enriched by tastings of live beer and stories about Latvia’s traditional holiday beverage. Alongside the brewery is a store which sells live beer, homemade goodies and selected souvenirs. The “Valmiermuižas alus virtuve” saloon popularises Latvian beers and uses beer in various dishes. A modern approach to homemade products is used to prepare foods and beer-based snacks. There is a beer garden during the summer, and the saloon merges traditional things with modern ones. This is a place for leisure in Mazirbe along the Livonian shore. It is part of the Slītere National Park, and the venue welcomes solo travellers, families and groups of friends. There are six buildings which can accommodate up to 50 people – rooms for one, two or three visitors, as well as one room for 12 visitors. A new service building has a lavatory, shower and kitchen. Sauna services are available. Strautmaļi also has a banquet hall with a fireplace, an amazing collection of teaspoons, a library of books for all tastes, as well as beautiful paintings. Biological Goat Farm “Līcīši” is an organic goat farm located in the municipality of Jelgava, surrounded by forests and the scenic Misa River. How the Cheese Is Made The farm uses a modern goat milking parlour equipped with a ramp and milking machines for 12 goats at a time. After milking, the milk is immediately transferred to a cooling system and rapidly chilled to ensure high quality, freshness, and excellent flavour in the cheese production.
