Kauņas jūras reģionālais parks (Kauno marių regioninis parkas) dibināts 1992. gadā. Tas ietver Nemunas HES uzpludināto posmu – lielāko Lietuvas ūdenskrātuvi no Kauņas līdz Piļonas (Piliuona) ciemam. Viena no nozīmīgākajām parka vērtībām ir ainava, kas veidojusies ilgā cilvēka un dabas mijiedarbībā. Parkā konstatētas 950 augu sugas, 600 dzīvnieku, t.sk. - 34 zivju sugas. Parka nozīmīgas dabas vērtības ir meži, augstie purvi, kadiķu audze. Parkā ir apskatāmi dažādu vēsturisko periodu liecinieki – senču pilskalni, Pažaislis klosteris, Kauņas cietokšņa Piektais forts, kā arī Rumšišķes (Rumšiškės) brīvdabas muzejs – viens no lielākajiem (195 ha) šāda veida muzejiem Eiropā. Vaišvīdavā (Vaišvydava) ir izveidots parka apmeklētāju centrs, parkā ir dabas takas, piemēram, Žiegždriai ģeoloģiskā taka un Dubravos izziņas taka.

Trušu audzēšanas saimniecība "Trušu muiža" savā allaž tapšanas procesā esošajā garaušu muižas kompleksā piedāvā aplūkot 15 – 20 dažādu šķirņu trušus no visas pasaules, kā arī iegūt bildi ar trusi. Lieliska iespēja ciemoties trušu "Harmonijas un miera sētā", tos samīļot, pabarot. "Trušu muiža" iegūst aizvien jaunus kaimiņus un pilnveidojas. Iespēja iegādāties "Trušu muižas" greznumlietas. Vaislas truši un mīļdzīvnieki.

Vasaras sezonā (jūnijs - augusts) gaidīs ciemos no otrdienas līdz svētdienai (11:00 – 18:00). Lielākas grupas, iepriekš vienojoties, uzņem arī citā laikā. 

 From Riga the tour goes along the right bank of the river Daugava and crosses it over at Plavinas HES to Salaspils. Visit National Botanic Garden then continue along the left bank of Daugava. On the route there is a model of ancient wooden castle where you can walk about. . Then visit the Kingdom of Rabbits where their homes are made like a little castles too. Time to taste some wonderful home-made ice-cream at Skriveri and visit legendary Koknese castle ruins park. Next day visit ethnographic working farmstead where you can see wild horses and cows as well as various waterbirds in the pond. Then the route goes to private mini zoo "Ezerlejas" with some exotic animals, visit ceramics factory where you can see how the hand-made clay products are made from the beginning to the end, walk around Rauna medieval castles ruins. Cesis town with mighty medieval castle and pretty old town is the next on the route. At Ligatne walk nature trails where you can see local wild animals. At Sigulda kids would love to visit "Tarzans" adventure centre. There is also Olympic bobsled centre and two medieval castles located. From Sigulda the route goes towards the coast with a stop at elegant Birini Manor with large park where you can try horse ridding. Then you are at the sandy beach of Saulkrasti. Before returning to Riga you can visit a farm with goats and ponies to taste goats products and cuddle animals.  

The Priekule Lutheran Church was built around 1680 and rebuilt a century later, in 1892. In 2005, the church tower was improved, and visitors to the church can now use it as a viewing platform. They can see the place where Icarus of Priekule supposedly made his first “flight.”

The "Pastnieka maja" restaurant is an old restored building in Old Liepāja. Legend has it that a postal carrier named Arvīds used to live there, and the building has been praised for its interior design. The menu offers an attractive look at the life of Arvīds, and it is up to you to believe or disbelieve those stories.

Latvian cuisine: Cold soup, sorrel soup, oven-baked cod, catfish and plaice filet, grilled pork ribs, porridge with a bacon and onion sauce, potato pancakes, crepes, stacked rye bread.

Special foods: Smoked cod with potatoes, onions and dill in a ceramic ramekin.

The farm produces tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, grey peas, herbs, pumpkins and cabbages, and it also has a group of chickens which spend their time outdoors. The farm’s products are available for purchase.

The café is in the former administrative building of a collective farm in the centre of Gaigalava.  It cooks dishes with ingredients from its own farm and others.
Latvian cuisine: Bean soup with pearl barley, sauerkraut soup, pea soup, beet leaf soup, sorrel soup, fish soup made with tench or carp, ribs, roasts, false rabbit, oven-baked carp, dried fish, cottage cheese crème with berry sauce, baked apples with vanilla sauce, woven roulettes, dried fruit, quince candies.
Special foods: Bean pancakes.

The estate owned by the dynasty of Baron Osten-Zaken was rebuilt in 1856 and 1857, because the old estate was sacked during the Crimean War (1853-1856).  At the beginning of the war, British warships bombarded Latvia's shoreline and ships with the purpose of scaring the Russian tsar.  Some of the gunfire hit Kolka, which was part of the Russian Empire at that time.  After the estate was destroyed, the so-called White House was built there with a series of ancillary buildings.  A mantel chimney was installed on the second floor, and it was used to smoke wild game (the chimney is still there).  The estate belonged to the aristocrats until 1919, when its last owner, Christian von Osten-Zaken, was shot in Tukums.  An elementary school, known as the Kolka School, was installed in the White House in 1929.  It remained open until 1961, when a new school was built.  Crafts lessons were offered at the building until 1989, at which time it was known as the Old School or the Small School.  In 1991, the Old School was taken over by the Faculty of Biology of the University of Latvia, and it has been used for summer internships for students ever since 1994.
