This is one of Estonia’s most beautiful karst fields, covering 125 hectares which feature different karst processes – subterranean streams, the dry Jõelähtme River bed, karst streams, funnels, ditches, caves, cliffs, a unique rock “mushroom,” etc. During the spring, the field is flooded, but at other times of the year, its contents are easily visible.

The farm "Kronīši" is located in Viļķenes Parish, Limbažu County. The farm grows organic vegetables that are processed into various home preserves. Teas are produced from plants collected from organic meadows, jams, preserves, syrups and juices are also on offer. Fruits and berries are collected from the garden itself, as well as from local farmers and the nearby Rūstuži and Blome marshes. The farm welcomes tourists and exchange groups with prior application. For family events, incl. a teahouse is available for children's parties, creative workshops and other activities. Offers tours with Soviet-era cars and retro cars. |

Atrodas 4,5 km ziemeļos no Rīgas – Daugavpils šosejas (A 6), klajā laukā (ap 3 m augsts, ainavisks). Viens no izcilākajiem Latvijas muldakmeņiem, tādēļ ir vērts izmest kādu loku. Akmens augšdaļā ir iekalts gandrīz 2 m garš un ~ 20 cm dziļš muldveida iedobums. Atrodamas ziņas, ka vēl 19. gs. vidū pie akmens ir ziedots ēdiens, monētas u.c. priekšmeti. Pie tā dedzināti ugunskuri un svinēti svētki. Teikas vēsta, ka velns muldā lējis ūdeni un gribējis mīcīt mīklu, kā arī parāvis zem akmens tuvējo māju saimnieku. |

This museum is along the road from Jaunpiebalga and Vecpiebalga and was opened in 1969. It focuses on the life and work of two distinguished Latvians – the composer Emīls Dārziņš (1875-1910) and the poet and writer Jānis Sudrabkalns (1894-1975). It features items related to the lives of the two men. Music by Dārziņš can be heard in the museum, tours are offered to individual visitors and groups, and thematic and musical events are held at the museum. |

Monument „Carrier of the Cross”. Statue of Christ carrying His Cross is placed on a high pedestal of
the pyramid shape. The pedestal was built in 1828 by dean and writer Jāzeps Kirkillo from Rezekne. In 1918,
the monument was renovated. The new statue was placed in 1918. The monument was rebuilt once again
in 1990.

This viewing tower is on a narrow peninsula among Lake Lukna, Lake Višķi, and Lake Boltars. From it, you can see all three lakes, the hillocks of the area, as well as Ambeļi and Višķi. Come here when the bird-cherry trees are in bloom!

You can tour the facility, examine the kiln, work with clay, purchase ceramics products, and inspect a collection of ancient tools and ceramics. This territory was established to protect the rare tree specie in Latvia - common hornbeam, which covers approximately 4% of the territory, but the most visually interesting part of the area is the Tīrspurvs swamp, also known as the Dunika heath. This is where the visitor will find Latvia’s longest and most impressive swamp footpaths, which crosses the area from the North to the South. Visitors will be fascinated by the unique landscape of the central part of the swamp, where in some places there are not even small swamp pine trees. Various habitats will be found – small swamp lakes, mineral islands, marsh pools, etc., and that is to say nothing of all the birds in the area. |

One of the oldest towns in Latvia, about which data can be found already beginning from 1378. As a populated area it formed at the banks of the Tebra River (the side of Riga-Prussia road), where once the fortified wooden castle Beida of the Cours Land Bandava was located. In the medieval times Aizpute was the centre of Kurzeme bishopric. After joining Kurzeme to Russia in 1795, Jews settled for living in Aizpute. Today travellers in Aizpute are most attracted by the ancient city environment that is still alive here, as well as by the historical centre of the city and the castle ruins. |
