Meklējams 0,3 km no Līvānu dzelzceļa stacijas – Fabrikas un Stacijas ielu krustojuma tuvumā. Ideja par Līvānu atbrīvošanas pieminekli radās jau 1929. g., taču to īstenoja 1935. gadā (arhitekts Pāvils Dreimanis). Tā galvenais elements bija 15 tonnas smags Krievijas armijas pamests lielgabala stobrs. 1958. gadā pieminekli iznīcināja, jo tas nebija „tīkams” padomju varai. No jauna to atklāja 2004. gadā. Piemineklis veltīts brīvības cīņās kritušo latviešu kareivju piemiņai, kuri 1919. g. ieņēma un atbrīvoja pilsētu no lieliniekiem. |

Nature restricted area surrounds Tasu Lake and swampy shores of it in a narrow band. The territory was established to protect rare nesting and migratory birds. The territory is easily overseen from the narrow gravel roads all around the area not entering the actual protected area. Tasu Manor house is located to the South of nature restricted area.

The tour from Riga to Tallinn combines natural, cultural and culinary heritage and includes lovely landscapes and 15 nature trails which cross marshlands, meadows and forests along the shores of the Baltic Sea. On this tour, you will become a true expert of the traditional and modern Latvian and Estonian cuisine. As the farms producing foods are often located in beautiful nature areas, you will combine culinary and nature experiences on this tour. There are many nature trails equipped with viewing towers for birdwatching. Randu meadow near Ainaži contains one third of Latvia’s entire plant species. A boardwalk leads through reeds to a viewing platform with views over the meadow and the sea. Saaremaa Island has a great variety of natural attractions that are different from those on mainland Estonia. There are dolomite cliffs, juniper heaths, a meteorite lake and rocky sea shore. The tour passes rural farms and traditional villages typical of the coastal areas. Hiiumaa Island is a laid back place and retains a very Estonian atmosphere with an important bird reserve at Käina Bay, unusual Sääre Tirp, as well as several small islets off its south-eastern coast. Back on the mainland, Paldiski peninsula gives a glimpse of the recent history with its former Soviet military base. |

This is the 11th largest Estonian island, and its central section is covered by a broadleaf forest (linden, oak, elm and other trees) that is more than 100 years old. Along the shores, the Abruka Island has meadows and small areas of wetlands. Only the northern part of the island is populated. Few tourists come to call, which means that the island is relatively untouched by humankind.

Near the A9 road and to the West of the Batari homestead, the monument commemorates a battle between the brigade of General Jānis Balodis and Bolshevik troops on March 22, 1919. The monument was consecrated in 1936.

This is the largest cemetery of the brethren from the World War I period, and it is the final resting place for some 1,800 Latvian Riflemen, as well as some 2,000 soldiers who served in various Russian army units and were reinterred during the 1930s. There is a monument at the centre of the graveyard. |

Located in the northern part of Valmiera, the Valmiermuiža Estate mansion (Neo-Baroque Style) was built between 1764 and 1771 by Prince August Friedrich of Schleswig, Holstein and Soderburg. Over the course of time it has been owned by other people. According to modern evidence, the mansion was a one-story building with a Baroque tower and a two-story addition in the early 20th century, which made it appropriate as a summer home and hunting lodge. The building burned down in 1918. Two years later, Valmiermuiža became a prison camp for captured soldiers. Later the addition to the mansion was restored and used as an elementary school. In 1936, the building became a prison, and it was once again a prison camp for captured soldiers during World War II. Later the building burned down again, and the ruins were removed. Still surviving is the Valmiermuiža tower, with ceiling paintings that are a cultural monument, as is the surrounding park. The Valmiermuiža brewery is alongside the historical monument, thus providing second wind for the whole region. |

This farm is an apiary, with hives of bees gathering honey. The farm has won prizes for its products. You can take a tour and learn about the lives of bees and beekeeping products, make your own wax candles, or attend educational seminars. |

At Jūrkalne, there is a small viewing area on the steep shore which offers a magnificent view. At the foot of the shore, which can be accessed via a set of steps, the view is no less wonderful. It is worth hiking along the entire shore from Pāvilosta to Sārnate (approximately 30 kilometres).
