The largest collection in Europe of Soviet aviation and military equipment is on the territory of the Rīga International Airport and is open to visitors. The collection was assembled over the course of 40 years.

Since 2007, visitors have been able to tour a porcelain factory that offers an exhibition of porcelain products. You can buy souvenirs or commission special products. Children will love the porcelain painting studio that is in the mansion of the nearby Vecpiebalga Estate. |

The herd consists of around 200 goats. The owner will tell you a humorous story of life with goats in Latvia and Europe, the story of making goat cheese and the secrets of its taste, will invite you to try cheese which you will be able to buy later. Goat cheese that is made in Lielgrodes is not only healthy, but very tasty. |

Bērzes upes labajā krastā, vietā, kur tagad paceļas Dobeles pilsdrupas, jau 1. gadu tūkstotī p. m. ē. atradās zemgaļu apmetne un vēlāk – koka pils. Gandrīz simts gadus pils izturēja vairākus krustnešu uzbrukumus un aplenkumus, un tikai 1289. g., kad vācieši bija pilnībā izpostījuši apvidu un tālāka pretošanās kļuva bezcerīga, zemgaļi paši nodedzināja savu koka pili un neuzvarēti aizgāja uz Lietuvu. 700 gadus vēlāk, 1989. gadā, godinot zemgaļu cilšu piemiņu, bijušās senpilsētas vietā tika atklāta piemiņas zīme, ko veidojis mākslinieks Mārtiņš Zaurs. Akmenī iecirsts teksts: “Zini, no šīs vietas pirms 700 gadiem zemgaļi aizgāja lepni un brīvi”, kā arī dzejnieka Viļa Plūdoņa vārdi : “Mēs svešā malā ejam, bet sirds mums paliek te”. |

Interesantā būve, kurai Baltijas valstīs grūti atrast līdzinieku, ir meklējama 2 km ziemeļaustrumos no Kirblas (Kirbla). 307,8 m garo arkveida tiltu pāri Kazari upei (Kasari jõgi) uzcēla 1904. g. deviņu mēnešu laikā. Tajā brīdī to uzskatīja par Eiropas garāko šāda tipa dzelzsbetona tiltu. Tagad to var šķērsot tikai ar kājām vai ar divriteni. Tumšajā diennakts laikā tilts ir skaisti izgaismots! Tā ievērojamais garums ir skaidrojams ar apstākli, ka pavasara palos Kazari palienes applūst lielās platībā. |

The museum has more than 120,000 objects which focus on the history of Liepāja and Southern Kurzeme from the Stone Age to the 19th century. Another exhibition is focused on the life and work of the wood sculptor Miķelis Pankoks (1894-1983). New art exhibitions are periodically staged at the museum. |

When you drive down the Nereta-Ilūkste road, the church, which was built in 1805 and restored in 1888, can be seen from a distance. The altar, pulpit and organ prospectus are all original. German soldiers who fell during World War I are buried outside of the church. Two plaques on the western wall of the building honour residents of the Laši Parish who died during the First World War, as well as those local residents who suffered Soviet repressions. |

This labyrinth covers 3,300 m2. Visitors can make their way through the maze, trying to find the exit and handling clever tasks at some of the special twists and turns in the labyrinth. There is a playground for children, along with a workshop, a mud café and the “fir tree village.” |

Visitors can help to smoke fish, including plaice, bream and garfish, taste the resulting food and listen to stories about seashore fishing traditions. The homestead also features some 20 type of shoreline fencing that are typical of the so-called Liv Shore. |

The park was established to protect the Venta River valley and the landscapes that are around its tributaries. On the west bank of the Venta, at Papilė, there is a cliff from the Jurassic period which is unique in the Baltic States, has been known since 1925, and has layers in which more than 300 forms of life have been identified over the course of time.

The potters engage in traditional pottery from various eras, and they also study ancient forms, materials and methods which ancestors centuries ago put to use. You can tour the facility, examine the kiln, work with clay, purchase ceramics products, and inspect a collection of ancient tools and ceramics. You are invited to attend the opening of the kiln, as well. |
