Atrodas ciema ziemeļdaļā. Neliela vienstāvu ēka ar svaigi nomainītu jumtu. Pēc vieniem avotiem celta 1883. gadā, citiem – pamatakmens ielikts 1933. g. 1. maijā. The house is on the eastern shore of Lake Lubāns with a wonderful view of Latvia’s largest lake. The owners prepare dishes from local freshwater fish, using old recipes and ones that they have developed themselves. "Zvejnieki" is the participant of Latgalian culinary heritage. Latvian cuisine: Porridge with homemade jam, fish soup, bream or pike cakes, smoked carp, sautéed wild duck, sautéed elk, wild berries with milk. Special foods: Oven-baked pike-perch with potatoes or vegetables. |

The Eastern breakwater was installed in the mid-19th century to reduce silt in the river valley and to regulate the flow of water. It is made of wooden pilings that are covered with rocks. The breakwater is 2.2 km long and has been rejuvenated as a popular place for hiking, leisure and fishing throughout the year. Birds can be watched from the breakwater, and sometimes people are lucky enough to spot a seal. At the start of the breakwater are two rocks with engraved text to say that the site was visited by Russian Tsar Alexander II in 1856 and by his heir, Nikolai Alexandrovich, in 1860. This points to the importance of the Rīga port in terms of Baltic Sea trade routes at that time. |

The Mazburkas farm is in a lovely location between the Rīga-Ventspils (A 10) highway and Tukums, with a beautiful and hillocky landscape all around it. There are fields grapes on the southern slopes of the hillocks, and some 60 different kinds of grapes are grown there. Visitors can pick their own grapes or buy some that have already been picked. The lady of the farm produces outstanding wines that have received prestigious prizes, including international ones. Another specialisation is sheep breeding. Visitors can look at the herd and purchase mutton if they contact the farm in advance for that purpose. There is a large wooden platform at the farm for visitors. Owner Gunta Niedra is happy to share in her experiences and provide consultations to those who wish to engage in sheep breeding. |

The Limbažu Cheese factory has more than 90 years of experience with dairy processing. It only uses milk from local farmers in Vidzeme, while the dairy processing technologies have been brought in from Switzerland. Limbažu Cheese exports 95% of its output. Alongside the company and on the other side of the street from the ruins of the Limbaži castle is a little store where the company’s products can be bought. |

This is one of the loveliest waterfalls in Estonia – up to 6 m in height and 50 m in width. Recommended: The rapid Keila River has carved a cliffy canyon behind the waterfall, with a flow of water that falls down a major distance. It’s worth hiking through the Keila park to the shore of the Bay of Finland (~1 km), then returning along the other bank of the river.

The nature trail was built in 2003 supported by the WWF, the Latvian Environment Protection Fund, the International volunteering organization supporting conservation initiatives in the United Kingdom (BTCV) involving volunteers from Nīca and Rucava municipal parishes. The trail exposes the surrounding landscapes and related biotopes – dunes, forest, grasslands and bog, as well as bird and animal species found there. On the trail, there is a bird watching tower and two birdwatcher hides. You can see the rivers Paurupe and Līgupe, beaver activity areas, grasslands, black alder forest, spruce forest, floodland, wild horses, aurochs, the Šķilu lime tree, the Holy Grove, the Ezerskolas sacrificial stone, the Pape ornithological field station, the Papes polder grasslands and the Pape lighthouse. There are resting places en route. The trail leads through the historical Ķoņu village with the traditional coastal fishing village architecture of buildings and yards. This is a collection of cinema and photography items collected by the owner of the Ziķu homestead in the Zirņi Parish, which is in the Saldus Administrative District. The collection includes antique film cameras and objects that demonstrate the process of taking pictures and films. The exhibition is in a log building that the owner built – one that resembles bee cells. Please contact the owner in advance for a tour. |
