Pusceļā starp Madonu un Cesvaini, Sarkaņu pagasta Biksēres “Jaundilmaņos”  dzimis Latvijas Bērnu ķirurģijas pamatlicējs, traumatalogs un ortopēds, izcils bērnu ārsts Aleksandrs Bieziņš (1897.-1975.). Tagad viņa dzimtajās mājās ierīkots muzejs, Paula Stradiņa Medicīnas vēstures muzeja filiāle. 

The dining room is located in the Kantküla former canteen premises, offering food from fresh, local ingredients. Dinner is served in buffet style, while in the summer season guests can also enjoy the a la carte menu or individually priced dishes. Accommodation and catering services are also provided.

The Mazburkas farm is in a lovely location between the Rīga-Ventspils (A 10) highway and Tukums, with a beautiful and hillocky landscape all around it.  There are fields grapes on the southern slopes of the hillocks, and some 60 different kinds of grapes are grown there.  Visitors can pick their own grapes or buy some that have already been picked.  The lady of the farm produces outstanding wines that have received prestigious prizes, including international ones.  Another specialisation is sheep breeding.  Visitors can look at the herd and purchase mutton if they contact the farm in advance for that purpose.  There is a large wooden platform at the farm for visitors.  Owner Gunta Niedra is happy to share in her experiences and provide consultations to those who wish to engage in sheep breeding.

The most spectacular autumn events are the Crane shows which can be observed at the bogs and fields. The tour will pass several of these places. We have included different biotops in the tour- seacost, different forests, bogs and fish ponds- in order to see various bird species.

This venue is a lovely and calm place by a pond that will delight all fishermen with a massive number of fish. Guests will sleep in a granary that is 120 years old and has bedrooms, a kitchen and a sauna.

The memorial stone to Augusts Muižulis,a recipient of the Lāčplēsis Military Order, is placed in the Lapmežciems, at the edge of the road (P 128, Jūrmala-Talsi) at the marker for the 9th kilometre. A. Muižulis, (189 –1941) was a lieutenant colonel in the No. 4 Valmiera Infantry Brigade. The adjacent Tuteņi homestead is his native home.

Atrodas Bauskas centrā, Kalna iela 6. Muzeja piedāvājumā ir ekspozīcija „Bauska laikā un cilvēki Bauskā 20 gs., pastaiga un atraktīvs piedzīvojums”.

“Airītes” is a museum found at the place where the first commander of the Latvian Armed Forces, Col Oskars Kalpaks and other Latvian soldiers (including three officers) fell during a battle on March 6, 1919.  The public donated money in 1920 to build a monument, and it was unveiled on September 3, 1922.  In 1935, work began on a building that was proposed by the Col Kalpaks Battalion organisation, the plan being to exhibit items related to Kalpaks’ battles.  It was opened a year later.  The monument was destroyed during the Soviet era, and the building housed a post office and some flats.  The memorial was restored during the national Renaissance in 1988 and 1989, and on November 11, 1990, the museum was reopened.  During renovations in 2007, the second floor burned down.  The museum and exhibition were renewed in 2013.  The exhibits speak to Kalpaks’ life during World War I and Latvia’s liberation battles.  Employees regularly organise commemorative events in honour of Kalpaks, as well as celebrations of Lāčplēsis (Veterans’) Day.

During a tour you will be served homemade bread, cheese, meat and beer.  You will visit an ancient garden with an alley of linden trees and a park of deer and mouflons.  Children will love to pet the geese, rabbits and donkey.
