This park is located along the shores of the Tērvete River Valley. It is a vast forested area which has been adapted successfully for travellers. In 2004, it was nominated as the most family - friendly destination in the land. There is a web of trails for one-day hikes. Viewing tower on the shore of the Tērvete River, views also from the Tērvete castle hill and Zviedru (Swedish) Hill.

This is the 11th largest Estonian island, and its central section is covered by a broadleaf forest (linden, oak, elm and other trees) that is more than 100 years old. Along the shores, the Abruka Island has meadows and small areas of wetlands. Only the northern part of the island is populated. Few tourists come to call, which means that the island is relatively untouched by humankind.

To the south of Koknese, the Destiny Garden is on an island that is surrounded by the waters of the Pļaviņas hydroelectric power plant (there is a bridge to the shore). The aim of this fundamental open-air object was to commemorate people in Latvia who suffered because of totalitarian regimes. The first work here began in 2008, and the designer of the landscape was a Japanese landscape architect, Shunmyo Masuno. Work on the garden continues, but it is already a popular tourist destination. The first permanent structure is a terrace that offers a view of the Koknese castle ruins and the local Lutheran church. This means that there will be something new each time that people visit the park. People are invited to bring rocks for this nationally important location that commemorates Latvia’s history. |

The farm "Krūmiņi", popularly called the Bread House, is a place to participate in real rural bread baking rituals, make dough and bake pies yourself, get to know grains, explore grain products, create Latvian strength signs and learn about centuries-old traditions related to bread. The heartfelt owners of the farmstead in the old barn also offer to enjoy the anniversaries, unusually celebrate their special holidays and enjoy extended life skills programs with soup cooked by the fire and watching natural events. When visiting the Bread House, you will learn why bread is baked here with the taste of freedom for almost 100 years, and the merry owners of the house know best to tell about it. |

The owner of the Vālodzes farm is a beekeeper. The farm is on the banks of a lovely river in a place where a homestead existed long ago. The hive are on a hillock and in a lovely meadow in the forest. Alongside the bees is a lovely apple orchard, and the owner is happy to have help in harvesting the apples in the fall. He has slowly restored the farm since 1996, and it has a lovely and large lake, a lake hut, a granary with a renovated upper floor and balcony, the beekeeping operation and the apple orchard. |

The historical centre of the Tāšu Estate is in the Ālande (Telse) River Valley near Lake Tāši. The current estate was built by the von Korff dynasty, and the mansion dates back to 1734. Inside there are valuable Baroque fireplaces, the main entrance portal made of sandstone from Gotland, the original stone floor in the hall, parquet and wall panels. Jaanioja Farm is located in the heart of Lahemaa National Park. The farmstead features camping grounds, an outdoor kitchen, sauna and smithy. The farm organises creative camps, fairy tale games, celebrations of folk calendar holidays and handicraft workshops for all ages. Rag dolls, quilted and patchwork items and other crafts are on sale. |

This is a farm of pedigree rabbits (11 breeds, ~200 rabbits). You can go on a tour of the farm and receive consultations on the breeding and selection of rabbits. You can also buy pedigreed rabbits for yourself. |

The stone is in the small village of Vasiļova, which is along the Daugavpils-Rēzekne (A13) road. The Vasiļova Semi-Estate used to be leased by the father of the great Latvian playwright Rainis, Krišjānis Pliekšāns. |

This was the first national park in Lithuania, and it is in the northern part of the Aukštaitija Higland, where hillocks interweave with lots of little lakes and ethnographic villages. Many of the lakes are connected with streams, forming long chains of lakes that are perfect for water tourists.

in the 16 century. During the reign of
Russian Empress Catherine the Great, a
recreational castle was built here. A
legend from the time says that a golden
carriage is at the bottom of the local Lake

Dabiskā zemesragā starp Lielo un Mazo Ludzas ezeru 14. gs. beigās slejās seno latgaļu koka pils, kuras vietā Livonijas ordenis uzcēla Latgales varenāko mūra pili. Tā bija iespaidīga trīsstāvu celtne kvadrāta formā ar sešiem torņiem, trīs vārtiem un divām priekšpilīm. Pēc krievu iebrukuma Latgalē 1481. g., Ludzas pili atjaunoja 1525. g. 1654. g. to atkal izposta Krievijas cara Alekseja Mihailoviča karaspēks. Jau 18. gs. no pils bija palikušas tikai drupas, kas arī mūsdienās ir ļoti iespaidīgas un ainaviskas (ar skatu uz Lielo Ludzas ezeru un baznīcu torņiem). |

No Vecās pasta ēkas ir redzama Sv. Jāņa kolonna. Domājams, ka tā celta 17. gs. un sākotnēji kalpoja kā blakus esošā tirgus laukuma „ziņojumu vieta”. Vēlāk kolonnu pārdēvēja Sv. Jāņa - zvejnieku aizbildņa vārdā, jo daudziem Traķu apkārtnes iedzīvotājiem zveja bija ikdienas dzīves sastāvdaļa. |
