The studio specializes in creating folk costumes, weaving and all sorts of handicrafts, creating jewellery, patchwork, sewing and silk painting. The first part of this section of the Forest Trail winds along the magnificent River Piusa valley, then, at Härmä Village, it turns towards Obinitsa, an important cultural centre of Setomaa, the Land of Setos. Here you can discover the traditions of the local Seto people, for example the fine handicraft of the Seto women. After Obinitsa, the Forest Trail leads through beautiful pine forests rich in heather, descends back into the depths of the River Piusa valley and ends at the Piusa caves. The Piusa sandstone caves are the result of hand-mining glass sand from 1922-1966. The biggest wintering colony of bats in Eastern Europe is located in the caves. When accompanied by the guide, you can visit the observation platform at the Museum cave. |

Avinurme Cultural Heritage Centre exhibits displays of local cultural history and runs workshops for woodwork and handicraft. Old workbenches are used for carpentry, and spinning and weaving skills can be honed too. 1-3-hour programmes are available for groups. |

Most of this restricted area is made up of a shallow and eutrophic body of water in which many species of birds, including some that are rare and protected, nest. Specialists say that anywhere between 150 and 450 pairs of black-headed gulls nest in this area on a regular basis.

The main building of the museum features an early 19th C. threshing barn with a dirt floor, the living quarters were added in the late 19th C. The museum also exhibits a smoke sauna, summer kitchen, granary, cellar, coach house and a dining house (formerly a cattle shed). All buildings have a display of tools and everyday commodities, traditional farm food can be booked in advance and handicraft workshops are available. |

This is one of the most colourful and architecturally interesting parks in Lithuania. It was rebuilt and expanded between 1898 and 1900 by the renowned dendrologist G.F. Kuphaldt. The park had more than 200 types of plants, more than 100 of which are still growing. There are various roads and pathways that offer a sense of the mightiness and beauty of the park. A dendrological trail with markers offers information about 15 rare trees. |

This farm focuses on growing hemp as well as producing various hemp products like oil, seeds, salt, spices and more. There is possibility to learn about hemp and it’s many applications while taking a tour around the farm, joining a workshop or a course, having a group team building event or experience the first and only hemp escape room in Latvia. |

In the recreation complex it is possible to fish in the carp pond, as well as to swim and sunbathe on the landscaped beach on the loungers. There is a playground for children. It is also possible to organize banquets, seminars and other events. There is also a sauna with a fireplace hall for relaxation for up to 20 people. There are four campsites for accommodation, located above the water on piles. All cottages are heated, with separate shower and toilet, TV and wi-fi internet. Two of them have a kitchen, and one has a fireplace. Each cottage has three or four beds. Tents and camper sites are also available, and tents can be rented on site. |
