This is an organic farm, and visitors are invited to join in the fieldwork - gather hay, make sauerkraut, pull weeds, milk a goat, watch the geese, catch some fish and then smoke them in accordance with the farmer’s own recipe. About 20 minutes by car from Sigulda, this is a venue that offers you a chance to go fishing in a pond that covers 3 ha and offers every opportunity for relaxation.  You can rent a boat, and during the winter you can go ice fishing.  Next to the pond is a two-story house with a kitchen and an opportunity to spend the night as long as you bring your own mattress.  There are three rooms on the lower and three on the higher floor of the building.  Next to the house is a lean-to, and there is a pergola not far from the pond.  The More War Museum is a bit more than half a kilometre away.  Also nearby is the Safari Park.

Our Story  
The cidery's name is a reference to the 12th-13th century Latgallian land of Tālava, which encompassed the present-day areas of Northern Latgale and Northern Vidzeme, where the cidery is located. In 2013, the owner decided to establish this cidery to produce authentic and high-quality beverages from apples grown in local orchards. Today, Tālava is a dynamic family business that blends tradition with innovation.

Apples  
Ciders are made from apples, with flavours enhanced by quinces, rhubarb, cherries, hops, and other additional ingredients. Tālava also produces non-alcoholic cider.

Ciders
Almost all of Tālava’s drinks are suitable for vegans and gluten-free diets. The ciders are bottled and canned; the cans are made from recycled aluminium, and the labels are created from an innovative blend of organic materials and recycled plastics. Tālava''s ciders have won awards at international competitions, including the International Cider Challenge, Japan Cider Cup 2023, Cider World Award, and SISGA Asturias.

Tālava invites both individual visitors and groups to tour the cider production facility, where they can learn about the art of cider-making and enjoy Tālava's ciders paired with snacks that highlight the cider’s flavour.

Zilver beverages come from the Zilver family country house in Sigulda.

Our Story 
Initially, the cider makers produced cider for their own needs, using the harvest from their apple orchard. The family business’s main products are fruit and berry wines. Cider became a favourite drink of the Zilver family, especially in the summer. Its taste and quality were also appreciated by family friends and clients, which led the family to expand cider production.

Apples  
The farm’s apple orchard has around 80 different apple varieties, some of which are specifically selected for cider-making.

Ciders
Zilver produces Quince Semi-Sweet Cider and Wild Apple Cider.

For Visitors 
Guests are offered a tour of the production facility, as well as cider and wine tastings with snacks. During the summer season, visitors can observe the "captured apples" – apples grown directly in bottles and later infused with apple brandy.

It is one of the oldest restaurants in Jūrmala and features a teahouse and outdoor terrace during the summer.  In only 44 km distance from Riga you can enjoy sea air, pine soughing and great meal. This biological farm (Bio 05-049-2008) grows berries such as strawberries and summer and autumn raspberries, as well as vegetables and grains.  Visitors can pick and eat berries and look at the garden.  The owners also breed cattle and have a store at which biological vegetables and fruits from the farm itself and from others can be bought.  During the hay season during the summer visitors can spend the night in bales of hay.

Holiday complex and holiday houses in Vidzeme near Bērzkrogs. "BrīvKalni" is a suitable place for celebrations, accommodation or rest. During the warm season (April - October), the recreation complex has the opportunity to celebrate in the banquet hall for up to 50 people, celebrate family holidays in the gazebo with live fire, hold seminars and cohesive / sports games, spend the night in one of the 10 holiday homes, enjoy a sauna ritual on the island and walk through the large ~ 25 ha territory of the recreation complex, enjoying the landscape of Vidzeme. There is an Owl Trail in the area, which is suitable for mothers with babies and people in wheelchairs. There are 20 owl sculptures on the trail.

This is a place for leisure in Mazirbe along the Livonian shore.  It is part of the Slītere National Park, and the venue welcomes solo travellers, families and groups of friends.  There are six buildings which can accommodate up to 50 people – rooms for one, two or three visitors, as well as one room for 12 visitors.  A new service building has a lavatory, shower and kitchen.  Sauna services are available.  Strautmaļi also has a banquet hall with a fireplace, an amazing collection of teaspoons, a library of books for all tastes, as well as beautiful paintings.

The centre of Mazirbe is 3 km away, the sea is 2 km away.  Silence, a pine forest, mushrooms, cranes.

The venue is open from May 20 until September 3.

This winery produces wine from fruits and berries from its own garden, as well as from wild fruits and berries – raspberry, apple, gooseberry, blackberry, strawberry, red bilberry, rowanberry, blueberry, red currant, elderberry, shadberry and dandelion wine.  The main product is sparkling wine from raspberries that is similar to Champagne.  The wines can be tasted at the cosy winery, which has a garden terrace.  During the summer, visitors can tour the garden, which is partly landscaped and partly wild.  Talk to the owner in advance, and he will prepare a campfire on which you will be able to cook food that you bring with you and enjoy it with the wine.  There are also fruit and berry juices for children.

The IKS Park organisation offers rural joy, playing around and relaxing at the edge of a forest.  Visitors can engage in crafts, learn about medicinal plants from Latvia in an interactive way and also learn about the properties of same.  There are two different territories.  One is an open-air exhibition of medicinal plants, with six beds of various plants.  Visitors are invited to stroll through the garden and learn about plants that might be useful and appropriate for them.  There is also room for mini-football, a barefoot trail, an “ant trail” that is a relay race with various steps, a pergola and a class to teach about nature.  Second, there is a small farm with workshops and a mini zoo.  Under a large canopy or in a cosy fireplace hall, visitors can try their hand at traditional and modern Latvian crafts.  There is also a chance to play various games, some of which are quite ancient, indeed.  Master craftsmen at the farm offer practical activities that allow visitors to produce their own souvenirs.  Class topics include weaving of blankets from plants, jewellery making, soap making, grinding of flour, etc.

The boat "Gulbis" goes on trips along the Daugava, revealing the history of Koknese and Likteņdārzs, the stories of the Daugava, and will become a witness to today's story.
