Kloostrimetsa is a cider brand with centuries-old traditions. They specialize in crafting high-quality cider using traditional methods, where the cider is made from their own carefully grown apples, allowing the juice to naturally ferment to preserve its authentic flavor. In addition to cider, they also produce jams, juices, and syrups in their home kitchen. Their gardens and fields are home to various fruits and berries, including chokeberries, sea buckthorn, and blackcurrants. In spring, birch and maple sap is harvested for seasonal products. Auf dem Burgberg von Sabile befand sich schon im 10. Jh. eine befestigte Stadt. Nach der Teilung der kurischen Länder gelang Sabile in den Händen des Livländischen Ordens, der eine gemauerte Burg (hat sich nicht erhalten) gebaut hat. In den schriftlichen Quellen ist Sabile zum ersten Mal im Jahr 1253 erwähnt worden. Im 15. Jh. begann sich an der Burg eine Siedlung herauszubilden. Die Stadtrechte hat Sabile im Jahr 1917 erlangt. Heute ist Sabile eine Kleinstadt, in deren Umgebung sich mehrere bedeutende kulturhistorische Denkmäler befinden. Ein untrennbarer Bestandteil des Kulturlebens der Stadt Sabile sind die Zigeuner, darum wird Sabile umgangssprachlich die Hauptstadt der Zigeuner von Lettland genannt. Sabile ist schon seit langem mit ihrer Weintraubenzucht und ihren Traditionen der Weinherstellung bekannt, die heute während des Weinfestes von Sabile zu neuem Leben erweckt und genießbar sind.

Viewing tower on pontoons, and there is a footpath to get to it. The tower offers a view of nearly all of Lake Sloka, all the way to Kauguri. Particularly visible is the northern part of the lake. There is also a sulphur spring. The site is good for bird-watching throughout the year, including the winter, because parts of the lake do not freeze over.

This 1995 sculpture by Oļegs Skarainis is at the corner of Dinsberģa and Talsu streets in Dundaga, near the local dairy.  It is dedicated to the strong men of the town, including former Dundaga resident Arvīds Blūmentāls (1925-2006), who lived in Australia, was a great crocodile hunter (some 10,000 in all), and served as a prototype for Paul Hogan in the famous movie “Crocodile Dundee.” 

To the North of the Cesvaine Castle is a park that is crossed by the rapidly flowing Sūla River.  The Cesvaine castle hill is on the northern bank of the river, is around 15 m high and is covered by trees today.  The grave of the owner of the castle, Adolf von Wolff, is there.  It is said that he wanted to have his casket dragged to the gravesite on a sled.  He died during the summer, but that was done anyway.  The park features a wide diversity of trees and bushes, some of which the owner brought home from his extensive travels.

Vieta, ko nekādi nevar uzskatīt par tūrisma objektu, bet tajā pat laikā tas ir Latvijas mērogā nozīmīgs kultūras un vēstures piemineklis, ko nevar nepieminēt! Laikā no 1923. – 1943. gadam muižas pilī atradās Latvijā zināmākā mājturības skola, kurā mācījās izslavētās kaucmindietes! Tagad muižas pils ir pamesta, avārijas stāvoklī un apskatāma tikai no ārpuses un „pa gabalu”. Ap 1780. gadu celtā pils, kas 1909. – 1912. g. tika pārbūvēta pusloka būvapjomā, ir Latvijai diezgan unikāls arhitektūras paraugs.
