Kaltene is home to a memorial house that has been set up in honour of Andris Kārkliņš, who was known as the first internationally recognised flamenco guitarist of Latvian origin.  Known as Andres El Leton, he was a composer, poet, writer and photographer.  Visitors will learn all about the artist’s life and work via audio and video recordings.

Up on the second floor of the building is a small creative workshop (SIA “Rakstu Raksti,” where people produce applied arts items such as folk costumes, linen products, accessories, souvenirs, etc.  They sew apparel and home textiles from linen and other natural materials.  The workshop has floristics specialists, and it accepts orders on sewn, knit and crocheted products.  Master classes are also available.  Visitors will enjoy local produced foodstuffs from the Roja Administrative District (fish, wine, cheese, conserves, jams, teas, etc.).  Handicrafts and souvenirs are available for purchase.

Abgunste Manor is an 18th-century Baroque-style building, located a 25-minute drive from Jelgava. Guests are invited to enjoy stories from the manor’s hosts and participate in guided tours. Visitors can participate in various creative workshops, indulge in authentic "edible celebrations," and stay overnight in uniquely designed guest rooms. The manor is a popular venue for full-service celebrations, offering spacious event halls, a picturesque manor park, catering, decorating, and event planning services. The manor’s owners, Asnāte and Jānis Avotnieki purchased the property in 2016 and, together with the "Creative Haven" association, are dedicated to its restoration and development. The Jaunpils Crafts House opened on May 10, 2015, and it is home to a group of weavers from Jaunpils that was established in 1970, as well as the “Dzīpars” organisation.  The group is led by a master weaver, Velga Pavlovska, who is happy to share her knowledge with the 18 women who are part of the group.  She organises the work of women who do handicrafts, and she also conducts tours and creative workshops.  Visitors can learn about the work of weavers and other master handicraft specialists, take part in educational master classes, go on tours and purchase various souvenirs.

Guest house "Šubrakkrasti" is located in Madona region, Bērzaune parish, 8 km from Lake Kāla, in a quiet place surrounded by nature. Guests have access to 7 rooms of different sizes and comfort, a sauna, a lounge, a ballroom and a wide range of leisure facilities. There is a shared lounge with a fireplace and a TV. There is a fully equipped shared kitchen for preparing meals. In summer, tent, caravan and camper sites are also available. An array of activities are offered in the area, such as cycling, fishing, meadow golf, hiking, campfire soup and more.
"Šubrakkrasti" is also a non-standard farm, which offers excursions - both for guest house guests and groups of tourists and students. During the tour you will get acquainted with the history of the house (previously there was a dairy), the owner of the house Raimonds Aizstrauts - factory equipment production workshop, his motorsports (four-time USSR champion in motorsports) and works on CNC and laser engraving equipment. Walk through the well-groomed countryside, which includes a mountain with a serpentine road, landscaped gardens, ponds, etc. There are also creative workshops - a soap maker or gift box making.

DabaLaba is in one of the places in Latvia that has the very lowest population density per square kilometre.  There are huge forests around our venue with lots of animals, clean rivers and lovely forest lakes.

DabaLaba launched operations in 2010 by renting boats.  The next season we set up an archery range and started to offer guided tours of the surrounding environment – hikes, safari trips down the forest roads of the “Ance Swamps and Forests” restricted area, interesting, merry and lovely moments outdoors, hunting with your camera, as well as special trips for schoolchildren.

Boats and SUP boards can be rented in Irbe, Rinda, Stende, Engure and Lonaste (or elsewhere on the basis of a separate agreement).

Since August 2018, DabaLaba has offered the restaurant #Mežā during the summer months.  It is in the centre of the forest and offers pure, tasty and healthy dishes made of local ingredients and no preservatives or additives.  The menu has dishes for vegetarians and vegans, as well as dishes with no gluten and no lactose.

We also have a country sauna where two people can spend the night after taking their sauna.

The true country ice cream at Dviete is provided by a family company which makes ice cream from locally sourced milk and barriers.  There are no E-substances, no plant oils, and less sugar than is common.

The cows which provide the milk are not kept in sheds.  They graze in the biological pastures of the Dviete wetlands.  They are known as “happy cows,” and the milk ensures a unique taste for the ice cream that is made of it.  The café offers homemade ice cream and waffles, as well as delicious coffee in a lovely and well-appointed place from which you can see the lovely and extensive Dviete wetlands.

Groups can contact the ice cream café to arrange for tastings or master classes on how ice cream is made.

Das Erholungsheim „Baltās anemones“ befindet sich an einer landschaftlich sehr reizvollen Stelle, am rechten Ufer der Lielupe in der Nähe von Mežotne. Vom Staudamm im Fluss neben dem Erholungsheim hat man eine hervorragende Sicht auf den Aufschluss von Ziedoni am linken Flussufer und auf die Dolomitsteine im Park von Mežotne auf der rechten Flussseite. In den Hängen zur Lielupe sind Beete angelegt, wo Gemüse angebaut wird: Kürbisse, Gurken, Salat, Tomaten, Rote Beete, Kartoffeln und auch Gewürzpflanzen. Zudem wurde ein Garten mit Obstbäumen und Beerensträuchern angelegt. Neben einem breiten Angebot im Hofladen werden Führungen durch die Felder des Hofes angeboten.

The leisure house “Olgas Muiža” is found in a lovely place in the Valmiera Administrative District.  Guests are offered a house with all that’s necessary to enjoy countryside leisure peacefully and unhurriedly whether it is winter or summer.

Guests can enjoy the rituals of a sauna, stroll through orchards, and use a gazebo for a picnic with a view of the pond.  People who enjoy active leisure can go fishing in the ponds of the estate or go horseback riding.

The guesthouse is good for private relaxation, as well as for corporate events and seminars.

Das Gut Blankenfelde befindet sich in Semgallen, eine gute Autostunde von Riga entfernt unmittelbar an der Grenze zu Litauen. Das Gut wird als Kulturerbe von nationaler Bedeutung geschützt. Der Name des Gutes wurde erstmals in der Zeit des Herzogtums Kurland und Semgallen erwähnt, als 1689-1701 Ernst von Medem Besitzer war. 1891 wurden die von Hahn Eigentümer. Im Gut gab es einst 16 Gebäude. Das Herrenhaus wurde im 18 Jh. erbaut. Dabei handelt es sich um ein einstöckiges, gemauertes Bauwerk mit Satteldach. im 19. Jh. wurde es im klassischen Stil umgebaut. 1925 wurde hier ein Heim für geistig Behinderte eingerichtet und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg ein Behindertenheim. Heute ist das Gut wieder in Privatbesitz und weitgehend restauriert. Unweit des Gutes befinden sich die Gräber der Familie von Hahn, die ebenfalls neu angelegt und gepflegt sind. Auch der hübsche Park des Gutes Blankenfelde wurde auf Vordermann gebracht und mit einem zeitgemäßen Kinderspielplatz ergänzt. Im rekonstruierten Marstall und Kutschstall befindet sich im ersten Stock ein Glockenmuseum und im zweiten Stock moderne Hotelzimmer, in der ruhige Erholung in dem abgelegenen Gut garantiert ist, mit schmackhaftem Frühstück am Morgen. Auf der Ostseite des Gutes befinden sich Appartements. Für Feierlichkeiten für bis zu 60 Personen stehen auch entsprechende Räumlichkeiten bereit. Im Gutspark gibt es auch Platz für Zelte und Picknicks. Man kann die Glockensammlung besichtigen.

Am Fuß vom Ludzas Schlossberg befindet sich ein Handwerkerzentrum. Es lädt euch ein auf eine Führung über die Handwerkergeschichte und Traditionen im altertümlichen Latgale kennenzulernen, die alten Handwerke in dem Suprādku Zimmer zu erschließen und in den Keramik-, Web- und Schneiderwerkstätten mitzumachen. Im Ausstellungssaal haben Sie die Möglichkeit die Werke der Meister der Umgebung zu sehen, sowie den allmonatlichen, letgallischen Grünen Markt zu besuchen. Im Salon können sie ca. 70 Arbeiten der Handwerker kaufen. Sie haben auch die Möglichkeit die Volkstrachten aller lettischen Regionen, Leinen und Wollbekleidung zu bestellen. Vorher angemeldete Ausflugsgruppen haben die Möglichkeit lettgallische Speisen zu kosten.

Lettische Küche: Graue Erbsen mit gebratenem Speck (Škvarkas), Brötchen Asuškas in Sauerrahmsoße, lettgallische Teigringe und das lettgallische Hausbranntwein Šmakovka.
