"Ziedlejas" offers sauna treatments and events in the contemporary design Glass Sauna, Smīma Spruce Smoke Sauna and Black Sauna, which is located in an unspoilt corner of the forest. The ritual sauna treatment includes heating, herbal compresses, herbal scrub, big beating, swimming in the pond, massage with healing oil and honey, vibrating with sound, tea, home-baked bread. The sauna treatment lasts four to five hours and is led by a sauna master. Various master classes are possible in connection with sauna rituals and the use of plants in healing and beauty care and the preparation of appropriate preparations. Bicycle rental is available, which includes access to the Ziedleju xc / enduro trails, bicycle training and bicycle guide services. It is also possible to organize and lead team building events, as well as team communication trainings. |

Igaunijas jūras ūdeņos ir saskaitīta 1521 sala! Salu sarakstā pēc platības (63 ha) ~ 2,5 km garā Mohni sala ieņem 38. vietu. Lai saudzētu salas trauslo veģetāciju (vietām nedaudz atgādina krūmainu tundru), tās vidusdaļā ir izveidotas koka laipas. Salas dienviddaļā atrodas sašaurinājums, kuru tāpat kā blakus esošo jūras krastu klāj viens no savdabīgākajiem Igaunijas akmeņu laukiem. Salas ziemeļos esošās Mohni bākas (Mohni tuletorn) celtniecība pabeigta 1871. g. un tās gaisma ir redzama 10 jūras jūdžu attālumā. Šī ir viena no skaistākajām Ziemeļigaunijas bākām! Līdz Mohni salai var nokļūt ar laivu (iepriekšēja pieteikšanās) no ~ 5 km attālās Vīnistu ostas (Viinistu sadam). Ar jūras laivu vai kajaku piemērotos apstākļos būs ~ 1h ilgs brauciens. Jārēķinās, ka uz salas nav pastāvīgo iedzīvotāju! Vīnistu ciemā apskatāms 2002. g. izveidotais Vīnistu mākslas muzejs (Viinistu kunstimuuseum). The church was built from 1801 until 1804 by Fridrihs Veits from Cēsis. At the centre of the altar is a painting, “Christ on the Cross,” which dates to the latter half of the 19th century. The bell was cast in 1895, and the organ was built in 1914. In front of the church is a 1930 monument to those who fell during World War I and Latvia’s liberation battles (sculptor Kārlis Zāle, architect Aleksandrs Birzenieks). Restoration of the façade and interior of the church was finished quite recently. |

This route is best for active hikers who want to travel down the valley of the mightiest river in the Baltic States to see lovely landscapes and feel powerful emotions. The route begins in Sigulda, which has been known as the Switzerland of Vidzeme and offers some of the loveliest views in Latvia. The route crosses the deep valleys of several Gauja River territory, offering a look at shores that are known at the Baltic level for their mighty Devonian cliffs. The nature trails in Līgatne are the only place in Latvia to see forestland that is close to natural circumstances, with forest animals living in large fenced areas so that they can be seen. Сказочные Слитерские Синие горы известны уже с давних времен, когда на них «пираты» жгли ложные костры, чтобы корабли налетали на мель мыса Колки. В наше время берега национального парка «Слитере» образно наывают геологическим музеем Балтийского моря под открытым небом, так как здесь можно увидеть древний берег Балтийского ледникового озера, береговой уступ Анцильского озера и дюнные образования Литоринского моря (валообразные дюны (кангари) и заболоченные междюновые впадины (виги)), которые наглядно отображают историю развития Балтийского моря за последние 10 000 лет. Этот берег исторически населяли ливы, рыбацкие поселки которых являются значимой культурной средой одного из самых малых национальных меньшинств в мире. Маршрут на участке от Мазирбе до Колки ведет по старой прибрежной дороге, которая петляет через ливские поселки – Кошрагс, Питрагс, Саунагс и Вайде. Национальный парк «Слитере» – одна из наиболее флорестически богатых территорий Латвии, а мыс Колка – одно из популярнейших мест для наблюдения за птицами во время их миграции. Located in a cultural centre at Brīvības Street 15 in Ogre, the museum was established in 1980 and has a permanent exhibition, “Ogre – a Swimming and Air Spa, Relaxation and Everyday Life, 1920-1940,” which offers a good look at the “golden age” of Ogre, when it was a popular spa. Einer von den beeindrucksvollsten Objekten der UdSSR Armee in Ziemeļvidzeme mit verlassenen Häuser, unterirdischen Bunker, Raketenläger, Startplätze für Raketen u.a. Elemente. Einer von den einigen Plätze in Lettland, wo man das Denkmal für Ļeņins besichtigen kann. In der Zeit der Sowjetunion wurde der in Stein gemeißelter Konturen des Kopfs von Ļeņins auf dem Zentralplatz in Alūksne aufgestellt. In der Zeit des nationalen Erwachens wurde das Denkmal demontiert und nach Kernraketenstation transportiert. Es lohnt sich nur in Begleitung des Reiseführers das Territorium zu besuchen.

Das Wirtshaus befindet sich am Ufer des Sees Aluksne, im Zentrum für Landtourismus und Erholung Jaunsētas. Es ist ein Blockhaus mit Innenausstattung im Stil des 17. Jhs., als in Aluksne die spätere Zarin von Russland und die Frau des Peters des Großen geboren wurde und bei ihrem Pflegevater Ernst Glück aufgwuchs. Lettische Küche: Suppe aus Fischen (Zander oder Hecht) aus dem See Aluksne, Schweinezunge, in Mehlpanierung gebratenes Ei, geschichtetes Roggenbrot-Dessert mit Preiselbeermarmelade und Schlagsahne. Das besondere Gericht: Mittagessen nach dem Geschmack der örtlichen Einwohner: Brühe mit gebrühten Teigstücken "Profitroļi". |

This is the ancient shore of the Baltic Ice Lake. We can only imagine the landscape 10,000 years ago, when the Kurzeme peninsula was covered with vegetation reminiscent of a tundra, and waves from the icy lake dashed against the ancient shoreline. We know that the lake was full of icebergs of various sizes. Today the cliff is more than 20 km long (some 9 km of it are in the Slītere National Park), and it is as much as 42 m high. It is the most impressive cliff of its type in all of Latvia. At the foot of the cliff are the Irve flatlands (the name comes from the Liv 'īrva' or 'īra', both of which refer to deer). The flatlands are the former bottom of the Baltic Ice Lake. The Blue Hills are crossed by many small streams and rivers (Pitragupe, Lorumupe, Kaļķupe, Mazupe, etc.). Their valleys are the basis for a branched and very complicated system of waterways which look particularly impressive when the trees are bare. In many places the cliffs and valleys display small areas of sandstone from the Narva suite. These are Latvia's oldest sediment cliffs that can be seen above ground. Although the Blue Hills are very impressive in scope, there are only a few places where there are important viewing areas (a viewing tower at the Dundaga-Mazirbe road, the view from the Šlītere lighthouse, the view from Mežlīdumi). The mightiness of the ancient shoreline can truly be enjoyed from the Cirste-Mazirbe road, the Cirste-Riepaldi road, Mežlīdumi and the Vīdala-Melnsils road). It is worth visiting the area in the springtime, when the slopes of the Blue Hills seem to be sinking under the fresh greenery. |
