Klavnieki Farm

The origins of the Kļavnieki farm date back to 1922. In the early 1990s, it was taken over by the current owners, and since then Kļavnieki has become a place where delicious, high-quality goat’s milk products are made.

Cheeses
The farm makes a selection of delicious goat’s milk cheeses: Plain Cheese, Salted Cheese, Garlic Cheese, Smoked Cheese and, around the time of the summer solstice, Caraway Cheese.

How the Cheese is Made
The farm has 35 goats, including two billy goats. The cheese is made from high-quality goat’s milk produced on the farm, which is then processed by the farm’s owner according to her own recipe. The finished cheese has a firm texture and can be flavoured with ingredients such as garlic, basil or caraway seeds.

For Visitors
The farm welcomes families with children and small groups. Visitors can meet the goats, buy goat’s milk cheese, pick berries and, by prior arrangement, take part in farm work.
