This is an open territory which is 3.5 km long and 2 km wide. It is located on the left bank of the Lielupe River between the village of Pavasari and the Odiņi homestead. The polder was established during the Soviet era to obtain farmland, and back then it was used very intensively. Today, it is slowly becoming overgrown, and despite this, this is one of the most important locations in Europe for corn-crakes. A gravel road crosses the polder from the North to the South, and this is an excellent place to hear the songs of the corn-crake. |

"Ziedlejas" offers sauna treatments and events in the contemporary design Glass Sauna, Smīma Spruce Smoke Sauna and Black Sauna, which is located in an unspoilt corner of the forest. The ritual sauna treatment includes heating, herbal compresses, herbal scrub, big beating, swimming in the pond, massage with healing oil and honey, vibrating with sound, tea, home-baked bread. The sauna treatment lasts four to five hours and is led by a sauna master. Various master classes are possible in connection with sauna rituals and the use of plants in healing and beauty care and the preparation of appropriate preparations. Bicycle rental is available, which includes access to the Ziedleju xc / enduro trails, bicycle training and bicycle guide services. It is also possible to organize and lead team building events, as well as team communication trainings. |

The Tērvete Nature Park is located in an area which is not particularly typical of the Zemgale region – the distinct Tērvete River valley. Along its banks there are vast forests which have been nicely adapted to leisure activities. There are natural treasures, as well as an outstanding cultural and historical heritage in the area. The Tērvete Nature Park is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Zemgale. People are interested in the Park of Old Pines, the lovely pine forest, the Sprīdīši arboretum, the Tērvete, Klosterkalns and Svētkalns castle hills, the memorial museum “Sprīdīši” which commemorates the great Latvian author Anna Brigadere, various attractions for children, lovely landscapes, a dense network of pathways, etc. The nature park was nominated as the most family-friendly location in Latvia in 2004. |

The most populated place in The Curonian Spit - old curonian village - Nida. Until 19th century Nida's citizens were mainly fishermen. Later it became a popular resort. Like other villages here Nida has been "moved" because of "wandering dunes". There are a lot of museums to see. During tourism season there is around ~ 200 000 – 300 000 tourists here.

The Bauska Castle contains a collection of cast iron cannons which date back to the latter half of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century. They were manufactured in the Duchy of Courland. The cannons that are in the garden of the castle were not found there – they were found in different locations in Zemgale. Four of the largest cannons came from Jaunsvirlauka, where they were found on the banks of the Lielupe River opposite Emburga. They are the best preserved weapons of their type in Latvia. The only cannon that was found in the castle itself is currently in its South-eastern tower as a thematic exhibit. When it was being cleaned, two cannonballs were found in the weapons. The local Livonian Order castle is in ruins, but it and its defensive structures, including earthen ramparts that were installed from the mid-15th until the early 18th century, represent an important element of Latvia’s military heritage.

The nature park in the city of Jūrmala was set up to protect dune, pine forest and shoreline habitats. This park features one of the most attractive nature trails in the Rīga area, and it is found near the famous Ragakāpa dune, which can be as much as 17 metres high. This is an excellent opportunity to study dune habitats and the plants, birds, insects, etc., which live there. Visitors can also see pine trees that are 100 years old and older. |

At the estuary of the Inčupe River, there is the White Dune, which is around 18 metres high and is the most lovely element of the Vidzeme shoreline among those that have been created by the wind, sand and sea. There is a wooden footpath (the Saulriets trail) which is meant to view, but also protect the dune. It has a viewing area, too. The territory to the south of the river is in the Piejūra Nature Park.

Место, где во время Второй мировой войны в 1916 году прошли так называемые Рождественские бои между войсками Германии и России, после которых слава о мужестве и героизме латышских стрелков прозвучала далеко за пределами страны. На Пулеметной горке создано мемориальное место латышским стрелкам и восстановлена смотровая вышка. С нее хорошо просматривается болото Мазтиреля с линией бывшей немецкой узкоколейной железной дороги, которая пересекает его в северо-южном направлении. Здесь можно прогуляться как в сопровождении гида, так и без него, посетить дом Мангали музея Рождественских боев, рядом с которым был создан особый познавательный маршрут, поучаствовать в тематических образовательных мероприятиях и в постановках боев. Можно осмотреть памятники, захоронения воинов, траншеи, фортификации, землянки и многое другое. Также можно осмотреть так называемый «Немецкий вал» - реконструированный участок оборонной системы – блиндаж и часть передовой линии немецкой обороны. |
