Dieser Hof ist eine der ersten und größten Ziegenzüchtereien in Lettland. The IKS Park organisation offers rural joy, playing around and relaxing at the edge of a forest.  Visitors can engage in crafts, learn about medicinal plants from Latvia in an interactive way and also learn about the properties of same.  There are two different territories.  One is an open-air exhibition of medicinal plants, with six beds of various plants.  Visitors are invited to stroll through the garden and learn about plants that might be useful and appropriate for them.  There is also room for mini-football, a barefoot trail, an “ant trail” that is a relay race with various steps, a pergola and a class to teach about nature.  Second, there is a small farm with workshops and a mini zoo.  Under a large canopy or in a cosy fireplace hall, visitors can try their hand at traditional and modern Latvian crafts.  There is also a chance to play various games, some of which are quite ancient, indeed.  Master craftsmen at the farm offer practical activities that allow visitors to produce their own souvenirs.  Class topics include weaving of blankets from plants, jewellery making, soap making, grinding of flour, etc.

The flats of Saules Kvartāls (Block of Sun) are found in the city centre and at a 15-minute walk from the Ventspils Olympics Centre and the skateboard park, 10 minutes from the Reņķa garden, 15 minutes from a children’s playground and other tourist destinations.  The nearest store is just 100 metres away.

There are three types of rooms at Saules Kvartāls – a studio flat for a family, a small room for two, and a two-room studio type flat.  All of the apartments have a television set and WIFI, as well as a small kitchen where you can boil water in a kettle.  There is also a stove along with kitchen equipment and utensils.

All guests have a common use grill with the necessary equipment to use free of charge.  There are also garden furnishings, a trampoline for the kids, and a sauna.

Eines der ersten Unternehmen, das angefangen hat, großfrüchtige Moosbeeren und Heidelbeeren in Lettland (seit 1997) zu züchten. Im Moor von Kalni, wo früher Torf gewonnen wurde, wachsen Moosbeeren, Heidelbeeren, Himbeeren und Erdbeeren. Besucher können Beeren sammeln, verkosten und kaufen, sowie an Führungen teilnehmen. Es ist empfehlenswert, die Produktionsabteilung des Unternehmens Very Berry (ungefähr in 3 km Entfernung – in Dārzciems) zu besuchen, wo Säfte, Sirupe und Getränke hergestellt werden!

Relax among natural meadows at Antiņciems, which is part of the Ķemeri National Park.  There is space for picnicking and tenting, with canopies for seminars and private events outdoor.  A guide will accompany you for a stroll through a meadow where you can truly sense the presence of nature.

Owner Sanita Matule teaches master classes related to products from the meadows – tastings and educational activities outdoors.  Sanita will tell various stories about Antiņciems, the border between Kurzeme and Vidzeme, traditions in growing chicory, etc.  There is a permanent spiral herbal bed for various herbs.  The owner grows chicory and offers chicory coffee.

Purchase or taste products from “Sanita’s Meadow Goodies.”   Celebrate the “Chicory Festival,” the “Meet your Master” event, “Home Café Days,” seminars about medicinal plants, information about tending to biologically valuable meadows, stories about when the TV show “True Latvian Homemakers” was filmed here.  You can also watch the backing of a “Miracle Bun” and then taste it.

A biological farm in the lovely nature park of the Ogre River valley.  You can tour the farm to see how biological cattle from the Charolais breed are bred.  Walk down our nature trails to watch cows grazing in the fields.  Visit the little Akmeņupīte stream and the large oak trees that are in the area.  You can see the rapids of the Ogre River and, in the spring, broad fields of ramsons.  The venue offers tastings of its products, and you can also purchase meat to take along with you.
