This is one of the largest areas of swampland in Latvia, lying between Lake Babīte and Olaine. Most of the area is still made up of peat. Relatively untouched is the northern part of the swamp, where there is a lovely set of swamp lakes, featuring landscapes of moss swamps. The heath is one of the few swamps in Latvia where the western-type and eastern-type swamp coexist. This is an important location for protected birds. A nature trail and viewing tower are to be installed at the heath in the near future.

This was Coastal Defence Battery No. 500 at one time, and it was dismantled in 1955. There were four 130 mm cannons, and their foundations can still be spotted in the forest northeast from the lighthouse. They are mostly covered by moss and can be very hard to find. Those who are not familiar with the region will probably have the most trouble of all.

The granary of the Dviete Estate magazine is on the side of the Dviete-Bebrene road. The restored building dates back to 1874 and was used as a prayer house from World War I until 1929, when the Dviete Catholic Church was rebuilt.

A distinct area of the lower reaches of the Vitrupe River, with small sandstone cliffs and many rare species of plants and molluscs. The "Serpentīns" café is on the side of the Ventspils road (A10) and near the Strazde Lutheran Church. The lovely building has large windows. The café works with local farms and organises evenings of live music.

This is one of the largest goat farms in Latvia, with approximately 160 pedigree goats (Alp, Anglo, German White Noble and other breeds), as well as pigs for breeding purposes. You can take a tour and help in herding the goats. Kid goats can be seen in the spring. You can taste various kinds of cheese, ice-cream made from goat milk and watch how the goats are milked (around 5:00 PM every day). You can also taste and purchase canned meat. The Castle is a theme park depicting life of the 16th C stronghold where families can spend an exciting day as soldiers and noble knights. There is horse riding, bow and crossbow shooting, you can practise carpentry and blacksmith skills, mint coins, make gold and gunpowder. Facilities include a wine cellar, torture chamber, death room, medieval brothel, astronomy room, barber and alchemist workshops. The Schenkenberg Tavern menu has dishes cooked to medieval recipes.

The Forest House (Meža māja) was built in 1933, and this is one of the most outstanding buildings in Latvia from the style of National Romanticism. It used to house an enormously popular restaurant, “Merry Mosquito" (Jautrais ods). The restaurant was popular among the spa’s guests, but also among prominent people of the day. A children’s sanatorium was installed here after World War II for kids from all over the Soviet Union. When the Ķemeri National Park was established in 1997, the building became its headquarters and today it is a modern visitors’ centre.
