When you travel along the northern shore of Lake Sauka where the road to Klauce crosses your road, you will see the Sauka Lutheran Church among the trees. This is the third church at this location. It was opened in 1827 and can mostly be viewed from the outside. The altar is decorated with sculptures of St Peter and St Paul, as well as the altar painting “Jesus on the Cross with Mary and John,” which is by J. Doering. The organ was built by craftsmen in Jelgava, and the pipes were manufactured in Sauka. |

This is an uncommon landscape for the Kurzeme region with a protected biotope – open inland dunes with meadows of silver grass and forests of deciduous trees, including the common hornbeam. Tourists can visit the Muiža (Lejas) sacred stream on the right bank of the Sventāja valley, above which they will find Latvia’s most noble bird-cherry trees. A nice reed pergola has been installed above the stream. Wide are of Sventāja River valley can be overseen from the road before the stream. |

The farm breeds historical Portuguese Lusitano breed horses, Shetland ponies, other horses from Europe, Ango Nubian goats, sharp wool sheep from Lithuania's genetic fund, and a large group of various fowl. This territory is around 9 square kilometres in size and is found to the North of the village of Kūdra, where the so-called old peat quarries are found. Peat was extracted here during the first period of Latvian independence. Today the territory is overgrown, preserving the old and flooded quarries which offer a very unusual landscape. The best way to examine them is on foot or bike, taking the road from the Kūdra railroad station which leads to Lake Sloka. |

This is a territory which regularly floods when the Lielupe River crosses its banks. These are flood-land meadows of importance to birds. The area can be surveyed from the Rīga-Liepāja highway and the Kalnciems road which runs along it. |

A cemetery has been found in this location since 1773, and among those who are buried there is the outstanding Latvian poet Ojārs Vācietis (1933-1983). A monument commemorating him is here, as is the Carnikava Estate repository that was built in the 18th century. The gravestone of a lessor of the estate, Falck, is also in the cemetery. |

This nature park was established to protect the Burzava hillocks, Lake Adamova (a eutrophic lake), and the habitats and species that are found along the lake’s shores – bats included. The loveliest views of the area can be viewed from the hillocks that are on the northern shore of the lake. There are tourist accommodations on the shores of Lake Adamova where tourists can spend the night. |
