A biological farm in the lovely nature park of the Ogre River valley. You can tour the farm to see how biological cattle from the Charolais breed are bred. Walk down our nature trails to watch cows grazing in the fields. Visit the little Akmeņupīte stream and the large oak trees that are in the area. You can see the rapids of the Ogre River and, in the spring, broad fields of ramsons. The venue offers tastings of its products, and you can also purchase meat to take along with you. |

The venue is located in the forest, with a set of ponds that very much bring the landscape back to life. It offers Latvian dishes and culinary seminars for those who are interested. Some dishes are cooked on large pans on a campfire or smoked or grilled. Kaltene is home to a memorial house that has been set up in honour of Andris Kārkliņš, who was known as the first internationally recognised flamenco guitarist of Latvian origin. Known as Andres El Leton, he was a composer, poet, writer and photographer. Visitors will learn all about the artist’s life and work via audio and video recordings. Up on the second floor of the building is a small creative workshop (SIA “Rakstu Raksti,” where people produce applied arts items such as folk costumes, linen products, accessories, souvenirs, etc. They sew apparel and home textiles from linen and other natural materials. The workshop has floristics specialists, and it accepts orders on sewn, knit and crocheted products. Master classes are also available. Visitors will enjoy local produced foodstuffs from the Roja Administrative District (fish, wine, cheese, conserves, jams, teas, etc.). Handicrafts and souvenirs are available for purchase. |

This farm produces herbal teas and satchels of tea from lemon balm, raspberries, tansy, lady's mantles, plantago and linden blossoms as souvenirs and gifts, as well as honey from local hives. The lady of the house will be happy to tell you about life in the countryside and take you on an educational tour featuring medicinal plants, beekeeping and fence buildings. She will also offer tastings of products from the farm. It has a biological farming certificate, so much attention is focused on the popularisation of a healthy lifestyle. The Berghof Milk Estate with saunas. The weekend sauna at the estate offers a country sauna and the holiest type of traditional sauna – the black rock sauna. This is a ritual which takes several hours, with handmade switches, massages, scrubs, rinsing and herbal teas from Sieksāte. The “Priedītes” Mini Zoo farm is in the Limbaži Administrative District and offers visitors a chance to get close to farm animals. Learn all about each kind of animal and its habits. Visit our rabbit garden where you will see some 40 hopping around, though there are some 100 in all. There are dwarf goats, sheep, a cow, some chickens and special tinker horses from Ireland. Horseback riding is available. |

This is an organic farm, and visitors are invited to join in the fieldwork - gather hay, make sauerkraut, pull weeds, milk a goat, watch the geese, catch some fish and then smoke them in accordance with the farmer’s own recipe. Visitors can also help to bake bread. There’s a sauna where you can inhale the aroma of healthy grasses and drink some medicinal teas.

Guests have access to three two-person glamping tents in a unique place in the Veclaicene Parish, which is right by the border between Latvia and Estonia. The tents are well-equipped with a hardwood bed with a comfortable mattress, two pillows, two large blankets, bed linens, two towels, two duvets, a chest for visitors’ things, two easy chairs on a terrace, and a little table with a bench. Each tent is hooked up to electricity, with available plugs and lights. The territory has a common-use summer kitchen with three lavatories.
