The Vecsiljāņi farm is in the Bebri Parish in the Koknese Administrative District. It is a dairy farm and also grows wheat, barley, oats, rye, corn and grasses. In 2010 the farm began to produce hard cheese under the brand name "Ievas siers." Visitors can taste the cheese and tour the farm and the cheese-making facility. |

This is part of a hiking trail along the Cena bog. It is on the western side of the bog, at the centre of the 5-kilometre circular trail. You can see the vast swamp, as well as a military road that was installed during World War I and is marked by an “alley” of large pine trees. Alongside the tower is a fragment of the road that was installed more recently.

Here you can watch ponies, donkeys, dwarf sheep, dwarf goats, dwarf rabbits, dwarf pigs, a llama, chickens and other fowl. Children can take rides with a pony or donkey, and they can feed fish in the local pond. There is a playground, along with a picnic location, “Paradise for dwarves.” |

The tower is at the western end of the Seda swamp, accessed from the side of Jērcēni. Transport is limited here. The tower is in the area of the swamp where peat moss is extracted. This is the most visually impressive drumlin field in the Baltic States, and it is close to the village of Tabivere. The drumlins were established by ice glaciers, and they point in the direction in which the ice moved long ago. In terms of their appearance, the drumlins resemble loaf-shaped hillocks. From their “backs,” there are lovely views of the local landscape and the lakes that are around the area. The visitor centre is in the village of Äksi.

This is a brewery in a lovely part of Lithuania known as Little Switzerland, surrounded by forests, lakes and castle hills. "Čizo" beer is light, unfiltered and alive, and it is produced on the basis of ancient traditions with forest bee honey. The brewer has not just a recipe, but also equipment so that he can offer a look at ancient methods of beer brewing. |

By far one of the most impressive Soviet military objects in Northern Vidzeme, this base has now been abandoned. There are buildings, underground bunkers, missile silos, areas of the firing of missiles, etc. This is one of the few remaining places in Latvia where a monument to Lenin still stands. The stone bust once stood in the central square of Alūksne. During the restoration of independence, it was taken down and moved to the missile base. We recommend that you bring a guide with you – otherwise it won’t be worth much.
