The museum is dedicated to the writer Ernests Birznieks-Upītis (1871–1960), whose nickname as a child used to be Pastariņš. The historic buildings have been restored according to the situation in the mid-20th century. Rye bread, Sun bread, and Shepherd's bread are baked in the museum’s farm. Each spring visitors can take part in building wattle and other types of fences, to bake bread and rolls and to taste the results. In December – baking sklandrauši (a carrot-based pastry). There are weaving demonstrations, butter churning demonstrations and opportunities to try one’s hand at other old-time farm work.

The Dzīļu bakery in Malnava is a symbol of Krāslava and it is located next to the Malnava manor park. The lady of the house prepare hearty Lettigalian dishes and other country goodies. In the bakery the owner bakes different types of bread, for example, rye-bread, sweet-and sour bread, as well as makes cakes on pre-order. The cave, which is 45 m deep and up to 5.5 m wide is found on the right bank of the Strīķupe river, by the Cēsis-Lenči road. The cave and its nearby sandstone cliff have suffered much damage from local visitors, which is why the administrators of the national park limited access to the surrounding territory a few years ago. You can no longer approach the cave. This is a positive example of who an important geological monument and a protected biotope can be protected.

Located on an island in Lake Dviragio, the Salu Estate and its park, when viewed from above, are reminiscent of the boundaries of Lithuania.  The park to the east of the estate is a mixed-type park and is one of the oldest ones in Lithuania.  Back in the day, it was a forest park where trees were never cut down.  The park featured maple, linden, elm, aspen and other local trees, and they are now around 200 years old.  A winding path links the alley to a park trail by the lake.  The various plants and fragments of alleys have survived to the present day.

This tour leads to the popular seaside resort towns in Lithuania and Latvia, from Nida on the Curonian Spit to Jūrmala on the Gulf of Riga. The first stage of the route runs through the Curonian Spit to the city of Klaipėda with its symbol – the wooden sailing ship – and its old town resembling German towns in terms of architecture. You will then visit the Lithuanian summer beach capital Palanga with some of its top sights being the Botanical Park, the Amber Museum, the pedestrian street of J. Basanavičius and the Sea Pier. Next, the route will take you to the former fishermen village of Šventoji, now a resort town, near which the Žemaičių alkas (Samogitian Sanctuary) is located – an ancient pagan sanctuary. After crossing the border of Lithuania/Latvia you will reach Liepāja – known as the windiest city in Latvia. Should you be interested in military heritage, you will find that in the former military port of Karosta. The tour continues to reach Ventspils, another seaside city. Here, you can go on a voyage on a small vessel on the river Venta river and out to the sea, walk along the riverside, go for a ride on the narrow-gauge train called “Mazbānītis”, marvel at greenery in the form of clocks made of flowers, spot the iconic cows of Ventspils – multiple sculptures scattered around the city streets. At the end of the tour, you will drive to Jūrmala and walk on the Baltic Coastal Hiking Route through the longest Latvian resort cities boasting with its widest sandy beaches.

BURSH brewery – one of the smallest breweries in Latvia which is situated between Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale and Selija territories – in the Plavinu territory of Aiviekste district. Beer connoisseurs are offered dark and light beer BURSH. BURSH is made of water, barley malt, hop and yeast, is boiled on a firewood stove, fermented in oak barrels and prepared for 30 days.
